    “Beautiful beaches, beautiful staff, great location!”

    This resort try’s their best with what they have . We where in building 3 at first and no hot water but you know , we accepted it and the water is not ice cold like in Canada so we dealt with it . Over 30 Celsius everyday sure helps . We then had to move to building 1, where we had the beautiful sea view . The cleaning staff gave us towels , water and when asked they changed the sheets . We left them gifts every day and where sweet helpful girls . Kierran ( not sure of spelling ) at the reception desk was fantastic when arranging a room for us . Moises , our favourite bartender is such a great person and great service. Even though he was sick , he had a smile every day !. The servers in the dining room are wonderful, friendly and work really hard to please The food is different than what we eat but again they try their best . We enjoyed the snack shack and the a lacarte dinners where good ! I recommend this resort for the price , it’s us 3 girls that travelled , 2 of us it’s our 2nd time , one girl her 5 th time at this resort ! Great time , 10 days in Cuba , beautiful vacation !

    “Bad , Terrible waste of money.Jan 2020”

    The best and only advice I can give you is "Don't go here" Spend your money on any place but here! Room: the first room was in Building 4 on the third floor, at night the thump thump thump for local bars, the mold smell was overwhelming, the air conditioner would not work even after repair, no hydro for one entire day we had to move the mold and the heat we could not breathe. Second room building 2 ground floor backside.noise free, the air conditioner would not turn off, even with the two dirty, musty brown blankets we were cold at night, no fridge, often no hot water, the bed was terrible and I can usually sleep on any bed. I would wake up with sore spots from the springs. Building 1 still has only a dirty service elevator for guests to use. It has been over a year! Food: Absolutely the worst! I am one of those people that will gladly gobble down anything but what they were trying to feed us was just wrong. Veggies and fruit were sparse so a week of cucumbers with semi rancid olive oil dressing resulted in many bathroom trips. Eggs always plenty of eggs..and shells in the scrambled ones. Cuban punch is the only sweet drink they make that is actually very good. Service: The cleaning lady swept and made the beds daily. Never a change in sheets, blankets or towels for the entire time we were there. No bath mats, hand towels or face cloths. You must take your shower whenever you check and find hot water because otherwise, you will be having a cold shower. Location: AND this is how they get people to come here. The Beatles bar and Calla 62. The beach is lovely but crowded with rude people that play their music way way too loud. Gotta get up around 6:30 am to take your towel down to the beach and claim a lounge chair otherwise you will be sitting in the sand. There were chairs all around us all day long that no one used but had their towel over it. Because they were using the other chairs they saved that were out in the sun. Shame Shame. I say let the Russians have this resort, they dont seem to mind. But then again they are up at 6:30 saving the chairs and waiting at the doors for the buffet to open so they can get all the served food ( that they leave laying on their plates). Shoving you away from the bar, blaring their Russian rap and being rude to the staff.

    “A very good 3* hotel”

    I can't believe some reviewers. If you want a 5* resort pay more and go there. Allegro is a pretty decent place, a bit old but for the price we paid we got even more (around 58 euros a day for the 2 of us, with a sea view). The room is clean, the beach is beautiful, the beach bar is also great. I'm a vegetarian and I wasn't hungry at all, my spouse says the meat was great (fish, poultry, pork and chicken-all of it). The pools look nice but no one uses them because the beach is so great. Chairs are also included in the price, as well as drinks and food at the beach. The drink selection is modest but ok, You can also choose out of 6-7 kinds of coffee. Yes, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes to get served but it's ok. Our bed was huuuuuge. Sometimes you can see drunk Russians who embarrass themselves but I don't see how is that a hotel's fault? Sometimes the guests are terrible, they drink the Irish coffee at 9am and because it takes time to make it and to put Bailey's in it they make the line, it's not the stuff fault. If you're on a budget or you just don't want to spend a fortune on a hotel this is the right place for you. I would most certainly come back.

    “Worst vacation ever.”

    Building 4 not ready to host vacationers. Phone not working, Had hot water 3 days only in a period of 10 days. They change sheets once and never gave me clean towels. Elevator not always in function. Air condition not working. I knew food is not the reason we go to Cuba but it was horrid. The Russians have taken over the site, rudes noisy drunks . Not enjoyable at all. The air Transat representative not very present. The bus never pick me up at hotel for the return and had to take a taxi to the airport. I shall not return ever. Hotel is more like a 2.5 stars .

    “Building 4 should not be occupied. Staff daily required to move people”

    Arrived 1 AM January 26th 2020. Assigned to room 4422. (Had been in this building previously, with no problems.....However noisy A/C,no water,mold around A/C,hair dry not working,no safe key and toilet not flushing. Changed January 27th to room 1230 with no problems, Building four should not be occupied! Staff doing their best under the working conditions. One employee advised that he has been working there for 20+ years and no up grades are being done. Very disappointed!

    I can't believe some reviewers. If you want a 5* resort pay more and go there.     Arrived 1 AM January 26th 2020. Assigned to room 4422.
