    “Is there many English?”

    I am travelling with my family that has 3 children (13,15,17) i would like to know is there many English (teenagers) in this hotel as I’ve heard it’s very German orientated and I was just concerned Incase they many become bored.

    “Hygiene and ignorance”

    We have been here since wed 10th July upon arrival we have no contact with any rep and went down to the food area which was absolutely disgusting filthy and had flies all over staff do not cover food as well as not enough staff to go round meaning very understaffed when you try to approach anyone they say they can’t help u After eating some foods it has made us ill so having to eat out for remainder of holiday.

    “Excellent As Always”

    This was our 10th stay at Occidental Jandia Mar and as always everything was perfect. Alfonso and his team are first class ensuring a warm welcome and anything you need is never too much trouble. We have stayed at many hotels in Jandia but this is by far the best and we always return. We had rooms 605 and 606 perfect for families very large spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel has introduced Premium Allinclusive so we went for this option and can highly recommend it ... you get gold band and unlimited premium drinks ... separate restaurant free spa access and loads more benefits. All the staff work tirelessly to ensure everyone has the perfect holiday from the cleaners who ensure rooms and public areas are stunning to the waiters and bar staff who are all so friendly. Swimming pool is perfect temperature and never a problem getting sun beds. All in all the best hotel in Jandia. Would like to thank Alfonso and his team for yet another fantastic holiday experience .... 5 star service

    “Overall very good!!”

    A mix of reviews for this hotel and after reading I can very much understand alot of points made. However, this hotel deserves a minimum of a 4star review due to our experience overall. Pool fantastic, staff fantastic, bars fantastic, location fantastic (despite the steep hill, that has always been there and in no way should a hill effect your enjoyment of your visit) Grounds and cleanliness immaculate. Issues we experienced below. Upon arival our TV didnt work, i only reported this on day 3 and it was fixed when we returned to the room a couple of hours later. (I only wanted this during siesta) Insects on food was an issue in the first couple of days. The hotel worked hard and added measures in to limit the problem, short of fly spraying the room and having pesticide in the food what else could they do...Not much of an issue for us. The only reason this hotel is a 4 and not 5 star is mainly due to the variety of the food. Repetitive on a daily basis and all luke warm and very bland. They did have microwaves to warm up your food however the lack of variety really hurt here. No spicy food and very little dishes that suited my fussy tastebuds. I really hope the food is improved as we will return in the future. All in all a pleasant experience and we will see you soon.

    “Won’t be returning”

    Rather than write a long paragraph it’s easier to bullet point starting good to bad - Pools amazing - Rooms spacious, spotless , very basic, needs tea/coffee facilities for morning. - Food terrible, very basic, hardly warm which makes it even worse, heat lamps over food cold, food not covered so swarming In flies even in the main restaurant indoors, terrible choice for kids. - Pool snack bar, disgusting, naturally this is outdoors, never seen as many flies on food ever, not 1 thing covered, hotdogs must of had at least 40 flies on them as we went to get our food. - Pool bar decent choice of drinks but again all tops of spirits walking in flies as no lids on. - Entertainment only starts 10ish so no good for kids after a long day, Boney M tribute act, kids never heard of them, Bruno Mars tribute act, people walking off it was that bad, there is nowhere to go outside the hotel for other entertainment so it was early nights every-night. I love the canaries & will eat literally anything but this was a struggle, defo wouldn’t return, not paying good money for cold fly infested food & drink, 1 week was more than enough!!!
