    Impressed with Barcelo Aruba . Mostly with the Royal level. The best Restaurant on the Resort with Manager George and Jaime so professional they will make sure you have a fantastic dinning experience. They made us feel like Royalty . Thank you for an amazing experience!!

    “Aruba Family Trip”

    Stunning beach, wonderful service from check-in to check-out. Food was great, nice options, but wish there were snacks near the pool, had to go to the buffet (put cover-ups on and shoes) to get anything to eat. Accommodations and location couldn't be better. Shops, restaurants, music directly across the street. Victor at the pool/beach bar was great! Was able to see the sunset from our balcony! Would definitely stay at Barcelo again!

    “Less than expected :(”

    My experience here was far from 5 Star. Someone should take Barcelo Management to a 5 Star Resort and show them what it is supposed to be - this place is 2.5 Stars 3 Stars on a good day. I’m not saying this is not a good place - just not up to what is advertised. Check in was lengthy and the front desk is too small for the volume of guests arriving. It’s should be expanded given the size of the property. The single pool and single pool bar is inadequate - again not five star. No beach service either. You have to go fetch your drinks. Dinner reservations were a tedious and lengthy process - I never had such a hassle arranging for Dinner. The food was middle of the road - honestly my work cafeteria has better food. We had Dinner at the Seafood Restaurant and because we had more than 10 people we were offered a limited menu instead of the full menu (without being told in advance). The table was served half of their soups and the others had to wait. Some choices on the limited menu were sold out there were no substitutes offered. The entrees were very small sort of like a Happy Meal from McDonalds. Specifically the Land and Sea Aruban choices. Some of our party received Royal Level Rooms and other didn’t even though we all booked the same reservation and paid the same price (some that did not receive royal level even paid a bit more). The room we received smelled like Mildew. Literally like a musty basement. There were not enough Electrical outlets or USB ports. The shower design was very difficult to get in and out of - this needs to be corrected as it poses a safety issue. Some rooms had walk in showers - all rooms need this update. You are charged for WiFi up to 45 dollars if you want it available to you for you whole stay. This is like charging for the phone. Again not 5 Star Treatment. Made a few small requests from the front desk such as an extra pillow, some tissue and a toothbrush. Always had to ask twice before receiving. Entertainment was lacking - there was a single person playing Guitar in the lobby and when he finished it was piped in music. There were some shows and even a decent band - but would have been better served in the lobby bar vs downstairs in the function room. Overall the facility was clean and the staff were pleasant- but didn’t feel the level of hospitality expected from a 5 star resort. Small improvements could make a huge difference here - for now I would not have this on the short list for a return trip.

    “Not So Royal Level Guest”

    Do not waste your money on the Royal Level Treatment it basically only gets you 1 extra restaurant to choose from no other special perks.Not a Fan, there was a total of 8 in our group and the food was great, alcohol was good, service...slow. Still had to get up at 5am to get a palapa on the beach or you were SOL.Will be returning to Aruba, the Happy Island just not at the Barcelo.

    “Great resort”

    Good service and value on the all inclusive option If you don't like your room keep requesting a new one until your happy, took us 4 rooms, but ending up with a free upgrade. Great time at pool bar. Would not recommend the Italian restaurant, but all others were very good. Make reservations when you first arrive as they fill up fast. Had a great time and will consider coming back.
