Occidental Aurelia reviewed by wenche48 on . 3 Nights in Rome - absolutely wonderful. The accommodation was lovely, nice high ceilings, loads of room. The room was very clean and tidy, although after the first night no further tea/coffee was supplied. The towels for some reason... Rating: 4

    “Vacation in Rome”

    Excellent location, good amenities, and overall pleasure visiting Rome during beatiful summerdays. The town is one of the most beautiful and interesting town to visit, service and friendlines was unique, only few streetsalesmen were too pushing. We recommend, both hotel and Rome to visit...!

    “A few days in Rome”

    The location is a bus or metro ride to all the main attractions but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel which takes you to the metro which is very easy to use as there are only 2 main lines.We purchased a 48 hour metrobus pass for €12.50 each .Due to the hotel being out of the city centre the surrounding shops and restaurants are a lot cheap .Overall a great hotel

    “worst expensive Hoilday booked with secret escape.”

    Very small room.far from the city,airport expensive traveling from every where very expensive check the flight time it was very early stayed awake all night ,make sure you book transfer,tour be careful with cab drivers how much they charge they switch money notes very quickly.

    “Disappointing Short Stay”

    We stayed here one night prior to leaving on a tour and were very disappointed. The room was not ready at the nominated time, the air conditioning was not working in the Rome heat, bathroom door was broken and would not close, shower head was also not working. Bar fridge was empty and not restocked, flickering fire alarm above our bed which flickered all night. Compared to the Cardinal Hotel we had just come from, this rated poorly for us.

It does indeed sound from what you describe that some aspects of your stay did not meet our usual standards of service; please accept our sincerest apologies for failing to make your stay with us a perfect moment of relaxation, we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to bring this matter to our attention. We are sorry to read that your room was not ready at your arrival. Certainly, our standard is to have all our rooms ready for our arrivals at 14.00H and the housekeeping service works hardly to meet the standard. In any case we apologize for the possible delay in the delivery of your room. Regarding the air conditioning, all the devices at the hotel work perfectly, but we explain to the guests at their arrival that the air conditioning activation is controlled from Front Desk (turn on and off, temperatures you can regulate them from the room), and that if you open the windows the system shuts down to do not waste energy. We do apologize for the technical problems you encountered; there are absolutely no excuses for details to be overlooked as all rooms should be thoroughly checked on a daily basis. We will make sure that the procedure is being reinforced. However, we do not seem to find records that our staff had been made aware of that while staying with us; naturally we would have changed you to another room. Concerning the fire alarm, it works like that in all the hotel rooms, the green flickering means that the alarm its working properly. Once again, thank you for your visit and constructive critics, we hope that you had a nice journey back home and to have the pleasure of serving you again in our hotels worldwide ensuring you in advance of our best intentions at all times.     “Nice smart hotel”

    Very nice and clean hotel and quite stylish. Bus stop right outside so you can easily get to Rome central and metro about 10/15 minute walk. Breakfast was good, only quarm we had was that the cleaners came to clean the room at about 5pm onwards and after a Tiring day in Rome could be a pain. Also noise from other guests forgetting there toilet seat wasn't soft close would wake you up during night but part from that was very good.

    “Nice smart hotel”


    Very nice and clean hotel and quite stylish. Bus stop right outside so you can easily get to Rome central and metro about 10/15 minute walk.
