    “Awesome resort”

Awesome resort, excellent service and the best beach in Mexico. Paradise for scuba diving and snorkelling. Food is delicious, but red wine selection needs improvement. First Club expericse worth it. Highly recommend this resort.

“Beautiful quiet resort with awesome staff!!!”

Jesus (read Hesus), Phelix and Sonia, the whole entertainment team you are the best !!!! You made our vacation the most wonderful out of all so far!!! We are coming back next year, and you better be there!!! Cheers!! Your Canadian Friends: Marek, Pat, Julia and Kacper. Resort is great, staff wonderful. The only suggestion for the management: PLEASE BUY MORE SPOONS!! There were always missing in all restaurants, I had to stir my coffee with a fork!! Stayed April 21-28

    “Cozumel Hot Spot”

Hidden away in tropical man groves, this resort offers exclusive hotel rooms but with an expensive pool and beach area on the shore, so if you don't mind a short walk across the grounds and a bridge over a natural mangrove preservation, this is the place for you! The beverage and food quality definitely require a revamp but the service as far as daily entertainment was remarkable

    “Bad and good...”

First the bad: emailed back and forth for approx 3 weeks about the different pkgs, royal, romance...got to the resort at noon, check in isn't ready until 3, asked for the romance package and was sent to enjoy the resort until check in. Went at 3 to get our room and was informed then that we weren't eligible for the romance pkg because of who we booked through. Tried to show them the emails, but there is no internet and I have never done email through my phone. Finally got a few of them downloaded thanks to another guest sharing their wi-fi. They finally said they would give us the pkg, but it would cost twice as much for each person...I told them forget it and needless to say, I was very upset and left almost in tears. Went to the pool, and an hour later, a different manager came and said they would honor what was in the email. Best bet is to print all communication with this resort. The resort is very large and a lot of walking was needed to get around with no shade. All the room buildings are 3 stories with no elevators. The maids would clean the floors on the top level and let all the soapy water fall to the lower floors witch is fine, but the floors were marble tile and we had to catch myself numerous times to not slip and fall. 3 specialty restaurants, but you had to make reservations the morning of at 8:30 am...no sooner, no later. By this time, members usually had taken most of the reservations. The pools...nice adult pool, but no bathrooms. Of course all these adults would be in the pool all day drinking and nobody would get out most of the day. Will let you come to your own conclusion on that. Kind of dumb the adult pool bar was only open from 11 am to 5 pm. excursions usually finished around 4:30/5, so you are SOL if you get there after that. Saw them close it (adult pool bar) even when there was over 30 people at the bar. Be sure to take anything you can think of you will need, band aids, bug spray, tylenol, etc. I needed some band aids for a nasty bug bite and had to pay a LOT at the gift shop. The food was ok, some things were better than others. The buffet dining room and other front lobby rooms could seriously use some kind of ceiling fans as the large lighting fixtures were not very attractive and it was very warm and muggy in them. Sand fleas are horrendous at this resort. I have so many bites, I can't stop itching. Very boring resort, we were in bed by 8 every night. There was a fight at the beach one night, but it was over quick. They had shows nightly, but it consisted of a mini disco and dance lesson every night. There is a lot of small children at this resort also, so if you are trying to avoid the little ones, this isn't the place for you. The good...we met a lot of nice people from other places and if you are a diver, cozumel is good, but otherwise, go to the main land. Lots of wild life to see here...the huge iguana's at the adult pool were a joy to watch, the very large orange one (poncho) was my favorite. Land turtles come out once in a while. Quatamonday's (Mexican racoons we called quatties) everywhere. Everyone would feed them fruit loops from the buffet, so they would come right up to you. A family of pigs live there also and you can see them roaming. There is also a small community of crabs at the first fountain before the rooms. Personally, we won't ever be back to this resort, we just weren't happy with how things were done and how people were treated in the end.

    “Beautiful Resort!”

I am late to review - we stayed from April 28th - May 5th 2017 and had an amazing trip! Food: I am a vegetarian and found stuff to eat at every meal. Breakfast was by far the favorite meal of my boyfriend and myself. Lunch was good and dinner was hit and miss. We don't go on these kinds of vacations for the food and really don't have any major complaints. Room: The room was large and clean, maid service everyday. We left a note with a tip asking for lots of water in the mini fridge and our wish was granted everyday. Beach: The beach was beautiful, unfortunately the water was too cloudy for snorkeling off of the beach 4/7 days, but that was just because it was windy and wavy - no fault of the resort of course. But on the clear days we did see quite a few schools of fish within the buoys. Shade was hard to find but we made do. Lots of beach chairs - no need to save them in the mornings (this is discouraged anyways). Resort: Absolutely BEAUTIFUL I loved the wildlife and natural surroundings. For people who complain about there not being any ocean views from the room - perhaps do a little research before visiting. This resort is in the midst of an ecological reserve and they are doing their best to protect it. I commend them for not using disposable cups and straws!! We went on a snorkeling trip through the onsite diving company and it was amazing! We saw so many fish, sea turtles and a few people in our group saw a barracuda. We took a taxi into the downtown area one day (~$16 US each way) and had a great time. Be sure to bring lots of small bills, the ATM on site only dispensed large bills and we didn't find anywhere on the resort to change them. We ended up buying a drink from the 711 downtown to break the large bills. On that note, please tip! It is so appreciated, remember they don't have the same laws regarding minimum wage. A couple dollars here and there can go a long way and probably isn't going to set you back at all. Honestly, my only complaint has nothing to do with the resort itself but the GUESTS!! I was so embarrassed by other guests actions on many occasions! Kids sneezing on the buffet, sitting up on buffet ledges, running around like animals and parents not paying attention! Grown adults treating the staff like peasants, yelling and carrying on - I was horrified. People crowding and shoving around the ice cream machine while it was being refilled, come on - don't leave your manners and self respect at home!! Overall we would definitely return in a heartbeat!
