    “Superb hotel and golf course”

I went on a golf tour here with 20 friends for one week all inclusive. The hotel was really nice and the rooms fairly modern. One annoyance was the all inclusive only valid outside of your room so the mini bar in the room which had exactly the same drinks, was unnecessarily expensive. All inclusive should mean all inclusive, but this is my only gripe for what was otherwise a great hotel. The food options were plentiful and varied each night. The golf course is a real gem, not particularly over challenging (as long as you keep the ball going straight!) but beautifully kept. The 18th is the highest point and a really nice hole to let the ball fly high from the tee down to the fairway which must be 100ft down. Really good practice facilities are available and the pro shop has some nice clobber at reasonable prices. Make sure you get yourself a locker for your clubs on day 1 as they go quickly. They are situated right by the pro shop so very handy. The only negative for the golf was the horrendously awful golf buggies. They were a mix of either fully charged with rubbish and dangerous brakes or hardly charged so barely able to make it around the course. The second day my buggy ran out of juice halfway up the 1st fairway so I had to roll back and leave at the 1st tee. Obviously had to get a replacement which took time and messed up the groups. To make matters worse the grumpiest of marshalls had a real shout at me on the 11th for being so far behind the group in front! You do really need a buggy as it is a long walk in the heat and at 40€ a pop I'm afraid it just isn't good enough. Sort it out Montecastillo, a blatant rip off that caused many negatives to an otherwise excellent resort. I'd like to return but will not until the buggies are upgraded.

“Luxury in every way. Location depends on what you're looking for.”

Great hotel, can't fault it in any way. Luxury in every aspect. Nice spa (a little small and you may have to pay 15 Euro or similar but no big deal). Food really great. Fresh, amazing, excellent chefs. Nice bar downstairs. Golf course beautiful, relaxing. A good few golf parties knocking about. Seemed to be enjoying themselves. Golf view terrace room, superior, was really nice. Would recommend the upgrade. Was an extra 7 euro per night or similar. Well worth it. If you want a chill at the cost of everything else, this is the place to go. However, the location is very secluded, practically remote. Not aware of any shops, bars or frankly anything else for miles (and miles). Jerez is a 10 minute drive (approx). Again, depends what you're looking for but if luxury and chill at the expense of other local activity, is your thing, I would highly recommend.

    “'as beautiful as the pictures'”

A recent 4 night stay was wonderful- everything that looked great on the website was great-the standard of accommodation with beautiful spacious rooms , well serviced each day -the staff who were all very patient, especially as they put up with our attempts at speaking spanish with them- Very impressive breakfast buffet - including very healthy options such as freshly made smoothies and health drinks - -we played the terrific golf course twice and the clubs we hired were of a very high standard and in excellent condition. The hotel is in a good central location from which to explore Cadiz, Jerez and Arcos de la Frontera if you have a car -and lastly don't be put off by the odd unfinished buildings behind the hotel -

    “Superb stay”

The one outstanding feature about this hotel is the friendliness of all the staff. The buffet dinner and breakfast were outstanding and the golf was excellent, but the one thing my wife and I noticed was how friendly every member of staff was towards us. We would recommend it 100% and will definitely be coming back. Our rounds of golf lasted no more than 4 hours and as a two ball in a buggy we were always asked through if we came up against any 4 of 3 balls. We had a junior suite which was lovely but I think next time we will request a golf course view with a balcony, the views of the 18th are worth the extra.

    “Great stay”

Three night stay in Jan at this beautiful resort. Wish I had the time to make the most of what the resort had to offer but the room and service were impeccable. Located in a remote area but the property is clean and modern and kept well. Room was immaculate and just what I wanted. Beautiful large bathroom and I was so happy with the overall feel. Got the deluxe room with the terrace that offered breathtaking views of the golf course and sunset. Room service was prompt but the burger I got was WAY too salty. Otherwise the staff upheld excellent service and communicated well despite my lack of Spanish. Check in and out were very smooth. Free WiFi. Did not manage to go for breakfast unfortunately but I bet it's good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and I can't wait to try this place again in the summer. :)
