    “Fantastic!”

    Had an absolutely fantastic time here! Especially delighted with the variety and quality of the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner buffets. Also very impressed with the All inclusive, Facilities and All round Cleanliness aswell as the helpfulness of the staff! Would highly recommend.

    “B&B - OK”

    Stayed here in an offer and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were all very friendly and that was good. Negatives - the air conditioning only comes on in the rooms at certain times and the room becomes stuffy and hot. Despite me complaining about this I was told that the hotel needed the power to go to the restaurant when the air con wasn’t working. So this is still not for the comfort of the guests. The food is absolutely awful - plenty of choice of bland, greasy compost. Not good at all. I feel aggrieved I paid for this as it was part of the price. As a bed and breakfast place this hotel is ok but don’t look for anything else.

    “Relaxing holiday”

    On my wife's first trip to Gran Canaria we stayed at the Occidental Margaritas and had one of our best holidays ever.The food,management,dining room staff and last but not least our room maid were all excellent.We would also like to mention the entertainment crew who worked from morning to night and kept everyone fit and entertained.The only downside is the location but there is a bus every 10 minutes from the hotel to the beach.There are also plenty of taxis with a reasonable fare rate of 3/5 euros.

    “Excellent Stay”

    Visited for a week mid September, first time in Gran Canaria. Stayed in the main hotel, room very smart and clean. All staff from Reception to Cleaners very helpful and pleasant, I include Gardners, Maintenance, Restaurant, Bar and Animation staff in this. The food was excellent, we did not experience any shortages. We ate in the restaurant, the self service snack areas and at the Aloha. There was no shortage of drinks on offer, with self-service being handy at times. Swimming pools clean and quieter areas available away from them. Didn't buy the ultra all inclusive: in my opinion it is both overpriced and unnecessary given what is already available. We played tennis, watched the shows and also walked the entire resort and Maspalomas/Meloneras over the course of the week. We used the free shuttle busses also, very convenient. Would revisit hotel but not particularly impressed by the resort.

    “Takes much more than the facilities to make for 4 star hotel.. where was the service?”

    Hotel itself was nice, facilities were good. Rooms were modern. Entertainment team a real asset to the hotel. They work so hard to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. The pools are nice. Was good to see lifeguards at each pool, hotel is in a Good location. This hotel could offer so much more if they excelled in other areas. For example the service is quite non existent. Didn't really get any real welcome or a any departure service. Literally took our room card and asked room number and that was it. No thanks for staying, no hope you had a nice stay. Nothing at all. Reception would benefit from some customer service training. Reported a couple of issues in the room that was not working. Air con was not really working well - when reported was told someone would come to look. Nobody came as far as I am aware, as it wasn't working properly stillborn the duration of our stay. Mini fridge was not cold. Milk was going off in 1 day. When reported told it was a mini bar. Not sure what this means? Should this not be cold? Didn't really see much staff around the hotel or waiting staff in the restaurants. Food options not great for fussy people. I was there 5 days and had to eat out 2 as the food I would eat was chips and pasta. The pasta was cold, over cooked and stuck together so to enjoy a dinner went to some of the local restaurants. Which were quite reasonably priced and something I could enjoy to eat. The all inclusive benefits lacked for a 4 star hotel. I didn't expect having to pay to use the towels 1 euro each change, or the safe 3 euro a day. Cocktails are pre made, no international brands available. I know you can upgrade to all inclusive plus.. to include all these extras but for a 4 star hotel I would expect some of these things to be included. If they address the service, the all inclusive package and the air con At the hotel I would say it would be a good 4 star, but with this lacking so much I wouldn't say this is anymore than an average 3 star hotel in my eyes.
