    “Loved it”

    The hotel was great. There were a few problems when we got to our room (door handle on the balcony) but they were quickly fixed by the hotel. Everyone working at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. Food was above average for an all inclusive. The snacks were great! Selection of drinks were also good for the all inclusive. The best part of our stay was definitely the entertainment. Carlos and the team were always happy, chatty and getting everyone they could involved in the activities. They were so entertaining for the evening entertainment! Have never enjoyed hotel entertainment so much. The team are enough to draw people back again and again. The two pools are more than enough for the number of guests, and as expected for Gran Canaria, high temperatures and even more sun! Wonderful stay. Just wish it could have been longer.

    “Great place to stay”

    Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Definitely four star and well deserved. Food was typical four star holiday fare. The thing that elevates this hotel is its staff. The reception and bar staff are pleasant, the maids always polite and happy. But the Animacion staff were fantastic. Their Grammy night was so funny, especially the bodyguard scene, really, having stayed at quite a few hotels over the years, this was the most enjoyable in house entertainment I have seen. Excellent from start to finish.

    “Not a 4star hotel”

    Me and my sister stayed for 4 nights in May. It was not like the pictures we saw when booking it with on the beach. We bought all inclusive thinking that's what we would get but it was far from all inclusive We did not get water in the room which I think is standard considering you cannot drink the water so we had to go shop to buy a few bottles. Not all alcohol was inclusive you only had a choice from about 5 cocktails any other one you had to pay for at a discounted price because you had all in. Band on. You do not get towels by the pools you have to pay a deposit of 10€ which I understand but still cheeky and it is another 2€ every time you want to change them but I don't think you get that back. I did not really like the food it was basic. One time by the snack bar my sister went to make a ham sandwich but the ham had mould on it. It's not close to the beach you have to take a bus which is free and about 20 mins away it's walking distance to bars and clubs about 10 mins walk. If you are young then I don't think this hotel would be for you maybe it was the time we went but there was loads of older people there looking down on people. There was no music or atmosphere by the pools in my opinion. The rooms were modern and you got wifi. I would not stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend it to a friend. We bought all inclusive Which I regret I should have bought half board and saved some money.

    “Great hotel”

    One of the best hotels. Will be happy to return to him. The atmosphere, delicious cuisine and entertainment are the strengths of Occidental Margaritas. It was a wonderful holiday. Thank you all. See you soon

    “Disappointed”

    This was our 7th year visiting this hotel. We've had problems before but the past few years everything was excellent until this year. Temperature was about 24 deg when we arrived and I turned on the aircon but nothing. Coming from Scotland 24 is hot! Reception informed me that group policy was that the aircon was set to come on at temps above 26 deg. I then asked to speak to a manager who informed me there was nothing he could do and u would have to take it up with my tour operator. I informed him I booked directly with the hotel and as per their own website I booked an aircon room NOT a group policy aircon room. After much discussion it was finally turned on. NOT a good start to our annual holiday. Next issue. We saw guests having breakfast at the Aloha bar and thought it would be nice to eat there. My husband and I sat to have some cereal and as we were eating we were then asked for our room number to charge our breakfast. Eating here is ONLY for premium all inc guests, not something anyone told us beforehand. Final negative note. Not all staff seem pleasant if you are normal all inc. Some were very rude, but in two weeks I never saw the same rudeness to premium guests. This is pretty sad and disappointing as we love taking the kids to this hotel and have been 8 times in 7 years. A lot of the extra facilities are now for premium guests only which is a loss. On a plus plenty of staff were amazing. To them keep up the good work. Not sure we will be back which is a shame.
