When visiting the Maltese archipelago, exploring the island of Gozo is a must. This full-day buggy self-drive tour will give you the opportunity to discover and experience the true beauty of Gozo in a fun and adventurous way, all while enjoying the thrills that only a buggy tour can offer!

Appreciate Gozo’s breath-taking scenery and magnificent heritage, visit key landmarks, and discover hidden gems, all while relishing the impressive beauty and distinctive charm this tiny island has to offer!

Upon your arrival in Gozo, you will meet with your tour leader, who will drive you to the starting point of the tour. From there, you will be following your tour leader at all times while driving your own buggy through Gozo’s rugged valleys, lush countryside, gorgeous bays, and hidden gems inaccessible with other vehicles.

During the tour, you will be stopping at various spots so that everyone can enjoy the scenery and take a short break from driving.

Our buggies are fully automatic, open-aired, and designed for amazing fun! They are perfect for friends and family.

Weather permitting during high season, we will also stop for a refreshing swim at one of the many gorgeous bays in Gozo (don't forget to bring your swimsuit!).

The duration of the buggy tour (excluding any land and sea transfers) is approximately 6 hours (from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.).

All land and sea transfers are included in the package. In the morning, you will be picked up by one of our minivans from all over mainland Malta (pick-up is from your accommodation or the closest designated pick-up location).

Crossing to and from the island of Gozo is done by a private powerboat exclusively reserved for our clients. This is always subject to weather conditions and other operational considerations; if this is not possible, the crossing will be done by the communal Gozo Channel ferry (ferry tickets are also included when required). Upon our arrival in Malta, you will be picked up once again by one of our minivans, which will drop you off at your original pick-up location.

Our return trip to Malta includes a 20-minute powerboat ride passing by the stunning Blue Lagoon and Comino Sea Caves (weather permitting).

Lunch is also included during the tour.

What should you know before you go?

• The time shown on the website or on your ticket is the approximate start time of the activity and not the time when you will be picked up from your hotel (or closest meeting point). At least a few days before the date of your activity, you need to make sure to contact the tour operator to confirm your pick-up location and pick-up time.

• To confirm your pick-up location (meeting point) and your pick-up time, please send an e-mail to internal-tours@robertarrigo.com at least a few days before the date of your activity. Make sure to include your booking reference number in the e-mail.

• Drivers must be at least 21 years old and must present a valid driving licence (original or copy) and another legally binding identification document (original only), such as an identity card or passport. Failure to present any of these documents will result in forfeiting the tour. No refunds will be given to any guests who fail to present any of the required documents.
• Passengers must be at least 4 years old; therefore, children and infants under the age of 4 years (0–3.99 years) are not accepted on this tour.
• All fuel costs are included.
• All vehicles are insured on a fully comprehensive basis. In case of an accident, loss, or damage to the vehicle, the guests will only be liable to pay the insurance excess fee. The fee depends on the insuring company and could be anything between €300 and €400 per vehicle.
• A credit card will be required as a guarantee for insurance excess fees, traffic fines, or contraventions.
• Guests will need to sign an indemnity form and complete our buggy inspection form before starting the tour.
• This is a self-drive tour; you will be following a tour leader who will be driving a separate buggy or a different vehicle.
• Drivers must always follow the tour leader.
• Racing, overtaking, or any other dangerous manoeuvres are strictly prohibited.
• Should you not follow the above-mentioned rules, the buggy will be confiscated. No refunds will be given to any guests not abiding by these rules.
• The maximum seating capacity on our buggies is 2 persons (one driver and one passenger).
• This tour is available daily, all year round.
• We depart from Malta at approximately 09:30 a.m. from the Ċirkewwa Quay, with arrival in Gozo at approximately 10:00 a.m.
• The buggy tour starts at approximately 10:30 a.m.
• The duration of the buggy tour (excluding any land and sea transfers) is approximately 6 hours, from 10:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.
• Guests residing in Malta will be back at their accommodation or original pick-up location by approximately 5:30 p.m.
• The 20-minute powerboat ride is not included for guests staying in Gozo; at the end of the buggy tour, guests residing in Gozo will be transferred directly to their accommodation.

• People with heart problems, back problems, and pregnant women are not allowed to participate in this tour.

• The tour is not recommended for travellers with mobility impairments.
• The itinerary/programme is subject to change without prior notice, depending on weather conditions, restrictions, and other unforeseen circumstances. When this happens, we always make sure that the tour retains the same appeal and value as the original programme/itinerary.
