Description

Tazouakt, a decorative style of Berber origin, is defined by geometric patterns and vibrant colour compositions. This workshop in Tangier offers a hands-on introduction to this artistic technique applied to canvas.

During the session, participants work with natural pigments and specialised brushes, learning how to build traditional motifs step by step. The process focuses on composition, rhythm and colour application.

With guidance from an artist, each participant creates their own piece, adapting patterns to their personal style and level of experience.

The workshop also introduces the background and meaning behind these designs, rooted in North African decorative traditions.

At the end of the session, the artworks can be varnished to preserve colour and durability, and are ready to take home immediately.
