Camel ride in the Maspalomas Dunes

What the experience includes

Feel like an explorer of the desert or even like Lawrence of Arabia riding our camels and enjoy a quiet walk through the endless fine sand dunes of Maspalomas.

This magical space, which extends from the beach and theMaspalomas LighthouseUntil thePlaya del Inglés, has a climate with warm temperatures, which average an annual average of around 23 degrees, and very little rainfall. It barely rains about 10 or 15 days a year, usually in the months of February and November.

The Nature Reserve of theMaspalomas DunesIt is made up of three ecosystems: the Oasis or Palm Grove, the Pond, and the Dunes themselves, which extend a few meters from the sea and which constitute a landscape of great beauty and uniqueness that seems to have been taken from another planet.

The 30-minute walk through these desert landscapes of Gran Canaria takes place on the back of our friendly camels. But don't worry, you don't have to straddle. Our camels have comfortable saddles on each side.

You will feel like in the Sahara riding one of our camels and with our Saharawi guides. In addition, camel rides through these dunes were declared Cultural Heritage of the Region.

Everything you need to know

• The camel station is open from9.00 am a 2.00 pm. 
• Excursions are on a first-come, first-served basis. For this reason,we recommend arriving before 11.00 am.
• Babies from 0 to 3 years old are in the arms of an adult. At 4 years old they can already ride in a chair. Everyone has a seatbelt.
• IMPORTANT: For reasons of comfort and weight, the maximum weight to be able to perform the activity is 110 kg
