Description
Discover up close one of the epidemics that struck Málaga hardest in the 17th century: the Black Plague. Up to one third of the population fell victim to a disease that spared no one, regardless of social class, religion, or age.
Step into the past and experience firsthand the examinations carried out by plague doctors in search of the dreaded buboes. Hear from the city’s bishop about the divine punishment believed to have been brought upon sinners, learn from the magistrate about the measures taken to contain the outbreak, and uncover how—and by whom—the victims were buried.
