Description
A day trip to Granada from the Costa del Sol offers the opportunity to experience a city shaped by its Nasrid heritage, historic architecture and its setting near Sierra Nevada.
The excursion starts with pick-up from various locations across Málaga and the Costa del Sol, followed by a coach journey accompanied by a guide who provides useful context along the way. A short stop is made en route before continuing inland towards Granada.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped off in the city centre, where you will have approximately 5 hours of free time to explore independently. You may visit the Granada Cathedral, a key example of Spanish Renaissance architecture, and nearby Plaza Nueva, one of the oldest squares in the city.
You can continue through historic streets such as Calle Elvira, known for its traditional tea houses, or walk along the scenic Carrera del Darro, often considered one of the most photographed streets, leading to the Paseo de los Tristes at the foot of the Alhambra.
There is also the option to explore districts like the Albaicín or Sacromonte, both offering elevated viewpoints over the city, including the well-known San Nicolás Viewpoint. After the free time, the group will meet again to begin the return journey.
