Visiting the Alhambra of Granada means entering one of Europe’s most significant monumental complexes, where Nasrid architecture blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. This excursion from the Costa del Sol includes official guided access to fully appreciate its historical and artistic value.
The day begins with pick-up from various locations across Málaga and the Costa del Sol, followed by a coach journey inland. A short stop is made along the way before arriving in Granada, with views towards Sierra Nevada.
Before the guided visit, you will have free time in the city centre to explore areas such as the Granada Cathedral, Plaza Nueva or historic streets like Carrera del Darro and the surroundings of the Paseo de los Tristes.
You will then enter the Alhambra for a guided tour of approximately 3 hours. The visit includes the Nasrid Palaces, featuring emblematic spaces such as the Comares Palace and the Court of the Lions, along with other areas of the complex.
The itinerary also covers the Generalife and its gardens, once used as a summer residence by the sultans, as well as the Palace of Charles V and different sections of the palatine city. Throughout the visit, the guide provides context to help interpret the artistic and historical significance of each space within the Andalusian legacy.
Courtyards, fountains and architectural details preserved over centuries make this visit a direct connection to the history embedded in every corner of the complex.
