At Barceló Marbella, we know how important it is to take care of body and mind, so come and discover how to improve your flexibility thanks to flow yoga. You will learn what vinyasa yoga is, the meaning of flow and all the benefits of a dynamic class.

When we understand that it is not a question of fighting, but of accepting and flowing, we will be closer to understanding what life consists of.

Vinyasa is a type of dynamic yoga that makes you move your body with a conscious breath. In fact, there are those who say that it is a meditation in motion.

VI: to place yourself in a certain form (asana or posture).

NYASA: meditate by focusing your attention on something concrete (breathing).

FLOW: fluir.

So it could be translated as flowing as you move and breathe.

The salutation to the sun, for example, is a type of vinyasa, where asanas are accompanied with each inhalation and exhalation; that causes a series of consecutive postures joined by the breath to create a fluid movement. Unlike hatha yoga, in vinyasa or flow yoga postures are maintained for less time.

You could say that rocket, power yoga, ashtanga yoga or jivamukti are also vinyasas (or, in other words, dynamic sequences), since classes are fluid and are characterized by the fact that with each inhalation and exhalation a new movement is created: you flow between one posture and another.
