    “Terrible service”

    I think I know where John Cleese may have found inspiration for his character Manuel in Faulty Towers. Problems were handled with an ineptitude I have rarely seen anywhere else. The hotel complex is very big and quite nice although getting a bit worn in places (scuff marks on walls in room etc). Cleaning not fantastic. When I arrived, key card didn't work, which meant going back to reception to get it fixed. Always very annoying. Then when I arrived in my room early afternoon, I decided to take a bath. Once in the bath, I heard someone putting a key card in my door and trying to enter ... then bashing at the door like a maniac. I got out of bath, and yelled to find out who it was... They asked if I was Andreas and I said, "No! Go away!"... and went back to bath. Once out of bath, called reception and asked to speak to someone in security of management as someone had tried to enter my room. The girl said, "I will get someone", and hung up. Ten minutes later I called back, and asked what was going on, and she said, "I have sent a technician to your room. He will come soon." I asked if she had understood my first call, and she said, "Yes". Then I said, "WHAT did you understand" and she replied, "What you said..." and put me on hold. I then went downstairs as this was getting nowhere and they asked if I wanted another key. I said no, and tried to explain again that someone had been trying to get into my room. After about ten minutes discussion with three people they finally got it and said it was probably the cleaners and apologised. Next day, as I had a cough, I rang reception and asked if they had a store that might sell cough drops or anything for a cough... They said, "A WHAT?" ... "A cough", I replied. "Is that a place?" they asked. I of course gave up and went across the road to find a shop selling cough drops. Reminded me each time of scenes from Faulty Towers. Nice(ish) hotel. Poor service.

    “Great hotel”

    I use to not visit big hotels, specially in beach areas, due to they are crowed but in this case this hotel was surprising. It is a very big hotel, but the organization is impressive. Enough restaurant available, you do not need to wait for a table and the staff is always ready to help you and make you to fell confartable. All the services are fine. And the beach is really nice. We will be back for sure.

    “Good option for beach front hotel for families and for events”

    Not a place we would normally go, to a massive resort like this, but we went for the Bachata Spain festival last May 2018, and we are going again this May 2019. There are three or four main buildings, and it matters which one you stay in, and also what kind of room if you want some peace and quiet, good views, etc. First, we don't recommend the middle building, so pick a building on either end. Then pick a room as far away as you can from the main dining area and lobby. You'll walk farther, but you'll have more quiet. Also, we recommend the Junior Suites on the second floor. Plenty of space to hang out, living room, large bathroom, nice bedroom and balcony with view of the pool and beach. Beaches are great, easy walk across the way, and you can find plenty of space, and some fun places to eat, drink, party. Pool scene is also pretty fun, large pools, plenty of lounge chairs. Bar scene is fair, restaurants fair, but didn't really like the all-inclusive buffets or fact that you can't order a drink....only wine and beer. But plenty of places in the area to go out to eat. And for an event like a Bachata Festival, the hotel is great....good event rooms, show rooms, dance floors, etc.

    “Great beach hotel”

    The hotel was really conveniently situated close to the beach. We were on the first floor and the view from our balcony was to the swimming pool and kids playground. We were on half board and the breakfast 5:00 – 10:30 and evening meals 20:30 - 22:30 were very good, plenty of food to choose from but lacked healthy options in my opinion. We had a Superior Family room with balcony and it was spotless and the bed very big and comfortable. It is a massive hotel resort so you'll find most services and amenities that you expect to find in similar resorts.

    “GOOD FACILITIES”

    Very clean and tidy. At the reception, they spent very long to deliver room. I noticed poor quality service and customer care. According to loyalty program "my Barcelo" they did not offer like any kind of additional treatment such as upgrading or any other details.... everything needed to be extra paid..
