    “2 night city break”

This hotel is in busy area of town on main road. Not as luxurious as some of the resort based Barcelo hotels I've stayed in. Some areas looked a little tired, but bed was extremely comfy and rooftop bar/chill-out area and pool were lovely. Sadly we couldn't keep the room past standard check-out time despite offering to pay, hotel was fully booked and our flight wasn't until 9pm!

“Lovely hotel let down by service issues”

Stayed at this hotel in Granada in Oct 19. Excellent location only 10 minute walk from Puerta Nueva airport bus drop off. Bit of a wait to check-in but ladies on reception apologised for wait as they were busy. Checked to see if our room was ready which it was. However, when we got to our room, floor in bedroom and bathroom still soaking wet where it had been hastily mopped. I upgraded to a superior double with balcony on the 6th floor. It was a nice sized room with a huge double bed, excellent sized balcony with views over the hills and part of the Alhambra. The bathroom was a good size, with a powerful shower. There was good storage with a good dozen hangers, plenty of shelves and a decent size safe. The aircon was good and also relatively quiet.Although the room faced onto a busy street, the balcony door was double glazed and cut out any street noise when closed. There was a very nice pool bar/terrace on the roof. Pool closed at 20.00 and bar stayed open until midnight. We did not eat at the terrace but had a few evening drinks there to finish the day off..beer reasonably priced at 3.5 euro but some spirits quite expensive at 10 euro plus for a gin and tonic, although it was more than a double. Unfortunately the cocktail bar and normal bar on the ground floor by reception never opened whilst we were there so the only choice was the terrace bar. We were extremely disappointed one night to be asked to leave the terrace at 20.30 as there was a private party taking place. In my opinion this should not happen as we are paying residents, the pool bar being part of the price of the hotel. Unfortunately the party went on until 00.30 with extremely loud music. Being on the 6th floor directly under the roof terrace,we had a horrendous nights sleep with the music and scraping of chairs and tables. The leaving revellers also made a lot of noise. I did complain about this ,and the fact that we had to continually ask every morning for tea, coffee and milk for the coffee machine, and to be fair we were compensated with a free breakfast on our last morning. It is worth considering that if you do upgrade to a superior double with views of the Alhambra, that you will be directly under the roof terrace bar and may get quite a lot of noise in the night. This only happened one night, the night of the private party. We had to query our final bill as we had 2 different drink bills put on our room that weren't ours, which was a little concerning. And we were charged for water from the mini bar that we didn't have. However, this was dealt with very efficiently by the guy at reception who apologised..but always best to check your bill. Overall the hotel was very good, excellently located with a nice sized room which was very clean, and we received generally very good service. There was a large dept store opposite, much to the delight of my other half. There was also a taxi rank directly opposite the hotel which was very convenient for our trip to the Alhambra, only costing 6 euro to get there. We were also able to leave our cases at reception for free after checking out at 12.00 and not leaving Granada until 17.00.

    “Wonderful stay.”

Would recommend for breakfast buffet alone. So many delicious choices that were fresh and healthy. Great way to begin each day. Location convenient. Rooms clean and comfortable... And very, very quiet. Staff very prompt and helpful. Contributed to our stay.

    “Breakfast to die for”

The breakfast spread was the most expansive I have ever experienced. Location was ideal within easy walking of most sites of interest, close to airport bus stop. Downside was noise intrusion from other rooms fixtures and fittings.
