    “beach lovers beware”

The place was beautiful, the beach was small and rocky, not for us, The pools were terrific and the service was excellent. It took us 5 days to figure out how to get around even though everyone was helpful and very nice. The restaurant's were great if you could get in them...very crowded

“Don't book here--only way to sell you a vacation club for thousands of dollars”

We stayed for 10 days. The food is terrible. We were ok with breakfast--and ate a big breakfast so we did not have to worry about lunch and dinner so much. Bread and salads were fine, but everything else was awful. The entire stay, we were pressured to buy into the vacation club. There was a "concierge" at out building who pressured us constantly to sign up for a tour. We were not interested, and we did not appreciate the constant pressure to do the tour. Apparently, Mexican law prohibits them from soliciting for the club in other ways--so this is there big chance to exploit you--captive audience--to buy into it. Also, it appears that the staff is bonused for gettting you to sign up for the tour--so they really go at you! We actually did it becasue there was a nice guy would helped us alot during the week--we were stunned to see how many people were doing it and buying into it. Nuts! You get 25 weeks (yes, that's it) for $25,000--and your guests have to pay $71/day for food if they are going to eat there. Not a deal in my book, and frankly, given the poor quality of the food, it is a terrible choice. The grounds a beautiful and the monkeys are lots of fun. But there is a GREEN lagoon--which has been cut off from the ocean. I would not swim in there. No way. The beach is small, and the seating is limited. So if you don't get there before 8, you probably will be stuck at the GREEN lagoon or a swimming pool. Everywhere you go (except the beach) they are playing terrible music. Someone needs to work on that. After a few days, I needed ear plugs to stop the music. Most of the staff was really nice, but some are clearly not. Often at dinner at the buffet, the waiter would ignore me--and go to others first even though I had been waiting longer. Even the bartender pointed it out to him, and he CONTINUED to ignore me. Then, when I finally ordered, he did not bring my drink until I was ready to go. Don't bother with the specialty restaurants. They are worse--in most cases, inedible. The rooms are good, but the maid generally forgot to replenish our frig with water and beer, and forgot towels and coffee. I had to call each night to request them. This might appear to be a good deal, but frankly, it was not worth it. We were too stressed and uncomfortable most of the time.

“Stayed at over ten all inclusive in Mexico and this was by far THE WORST. Will never recommend”

The rooms were the only thing that met my expectations (IF you upgraded to royal). Food was TERRIBLE everywhere but the Oriental restaurant and the Royal section. How did they give me the worst Mexican restaurant experience?!? By giving terrible food, small portions, service that frowned upon you ordering two entres on your all inclusive trip, finding a non-head hair in your food (YES A PLANTED HAIR). The layout of the resort is terrible and huge with minimal carts going around. Also, Extremely minimal views of the beach. And when you finally get one, it’s full OR they kick you off! If you pay for an additional service (spa/private dinner) prepare to be disappointed because they will *try* to not give you what you paid for. Basically, I plea that you do not waste your time here.

“Hotel was ok not the best but not the worst”

The hotel location was great for going to the parks and different excursions also it was a short cab ride to the downtown area the food at the buffet was good the first night and after that it was downhill

    “Great place, lousy food.”

A beautiful place, well maintained. The employees were eager to please the guests. The down sides were the food, entertainment and all the steps it was necessary to navigate the entire property. But very pleasing to the eye.
