    “Salinas vacation”

    We really enjoyed our stay and the staff was excellent in helping us with any thing we needed. Their location is probably one of the best in town right across from the Malecon. We would definitely recommend this to friends and we would re book when we return.

    “A Great Place to Stay”

    The location is great as it is right at the beach front. There are 2 separate swimming pools. The meals were great and the service was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and hospitable. A special thanks to Jessenia and the manager for going out of their way to arrange transportation for us. It is greatly appreciated and shows the hotel really does go out of its way to accommodate their guests.

    “Beware, do not stay here, save your money!!!”

    Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, food is an absolute garbage!!! Where do I even start with this mediocre hotel. For starters we had booked a accessible room in March and when we arrive they change your room and give you the incorrect one, a regular room where I can’t even use to shower due to it’s inaccessibility. When we arrived for the New Years celebrations they couldn’t do anything because all rooms are booked and your stuck, they don’t keep there word. Second, there lobby air conditioning wasn’t working so, no biggie!! Well big biggie!! Our room had ac but wasn’t working as should, spent every night there sticky and muggy. Third, the mattresses have no support, very cheap, backs were hurting and restless night due to you can’t sleep comfortable. Fourth, they are so stingy when it comes to towels, act like people who pay there outstanding fees of 500 dollars a night we’re gonna steal there towels so they give you only based on how many people are staying there, and when you ask for more towels, they give you a condescending attitude, the reception you can’t call because your room phone don’t work. Fifth, food is absolutely horrible, hospital grade food. Street vendors can make better food then this hotel. Sixth, no outside ramps for wheelchair access, only one ramp to go to the food area and it should be illegal because it’s so steep that you need help to go up the ramp. They charge also for the WiFi 7.50 per day, even though you spend 500 a night, not included. Only person that was great and outstanding was a waiter named Juan Ramirez who was superb and accommodating at all times, definitely went far and beyond and professional. Please stay away and run from this hotel, never ever again!!

    “Horrible service by Daniela Lainez”

    I visited Salinas on 30 November 2018. I stayed at Barcelo hotel with my cousin. First we went to the swimming pool for drinks, then we went to the beach. By 4pm we went to the room to change and take a shower, to my surprise there was not hot water. This was reported to the reception where Daniela Lainez was the person in charge (that's what she said) she said that it was a problem with the electricity, however I was the only one who had complained, but by the time we come back to the hotel, everything should be fine. We came back around 10pm and still there was not hot water nor AC. I called the reception and asked to be moved to another room and we were told there was not room available (the hotel didn't look full). Next day Daniela Lainez was again in charge and we complained again she said she could give us another room and we responded we were already checking out. It was a terrible experience having to deal with Daniela, a very unprofessional, inept, inexperienced employee who shouldn't be doing this kind of work. Barcelo hotel should train their employees and avoid problems.

    “Hotel correct sans plus...”

    Pour un Barcelo, nous n'étions vraiment pas à celui du Nicaragua...Hotel, juste correct. Pour un tout inclus, c'était vraiment étrange. Peut-être est ce dû au fait que ce n'est pas une destination que l'on se rend avec un tour...3 piscines, dont, une nouvelle, pas ouverte. Un snack à la deuxième piscine. Un buffet...euh...le pire buffet, côté choix que nous avons jamais eu, même si l'on trouvait tjrs un petit quelque choses à manger. Pas bcp de clients dans l'hôtel, on peut comprendre que le choix du menu sois restreint, mais à ce point? Je crois que selon le prix que l'on a payé, cela aurait été préférable d'aller manger dans les restos alentour. Mais, le vin rouge était excellent ;-) Mais encore là, dans notre tout inclus, le vin était gratuit, mais pour avoir une btl du même vin, 34$ US...EUH....J'ai l'impression que l'hôtel n'est pas simplement un hôtel, mais aussi des appartements, pcq sur plusieurs balcons, il y avait des BBQ, des palmiers, des décos...Nous avons soupé à l'hotel au resto à la carte au GRILL (qui, si on ne se renseigne pas, on ne sait pas comment le trouver...il est au BUFFET, mais avec un menu ;-)) C'était très bon, mais encore là, il n'y avait pas tout le menu, pas de langoustes, ni de homards...mais leurs desserts, peut facilement être pour 4 personnes et sont très bons. Notre chambre était vraiment bien, très épurée et assez grande pour y installer une allée de Bowling...une suite junior,premier plancher à 10 pieds de l'océan pacifique. Avec les vagues que nous avons eues, je pensais que l'océan cognerait à notre porte. Nous avions wi-fi dans la chambre. L'hôtel est très bien situé à Salinas, sur toute la plage il y a internet gratuit.
