Description
Our journey begins in La Camella, where we'll warm up for about 15 km before reaching Granadilla. The climb starts off gradually, covering a distance of 12 km with a slope of 5-6%. Once we reach Vilaflor, the real challenge begins - a grueling 14 km climb with no respite. The average gradient is 8%, but the real obstacle is the altitude, as we'll be cycling at around 2,100 meters above sea level when we reach Retamar.
The descent back down to Playa de las Americas is about 45 km and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, making it all worth the effort.This excursion can be defined in two words: SUFFER and ENJOY. It's a true test of endurance and perseverance, but also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to conquer one of the toughest climbs in Europe and experience the thrill of cycling in Tenerife's stunning natural scenery.
