Located in the midlands of Adeje, Montesdeoca Cheese Farm opens its doors to offer a unique gastronomic and cultural experience connected to Tenerife’s rural traditions. This guided visit allows you to discover the daily work behind a family-run dairy farm with national and international recognition.
During the tour you will see a herd of more than one thousand goats and learn about life on the farm, including feeding and milking. You will also follow the traditional cheese-making process step by step while observing the work of the master cheesemakers.
The visit continues with a sensory tasting experience where you will discover the aromas, flavours and textures of some of the farm’s most awarded cheeses. Through a guided tasting — or even a fun blind tasting — you can test your palate while learning how to identify the characteristics of each cheese.
A photo and audiovisual gallery also tells the story of the Montesdeoca family and the journey of three generations who have turned this dairy into one of the most recognised cheese producers in the Canary Islands, with numerous national and international awards, including distinctions at the prestigious World Cheese Awards.
