Description
Discover the marine life of the Atlantic in southern Tenerife with this water experience taking place in the well-known Ray Bay (Bahía de las Mantarrayas), a volcanic environment that is home to a wide variety of marine species.
You can choose between several activities depending on the type of experience you prefer: a beginner scuba diving experience, snorkeling in the bay, or a snorkeling boat trip.
The introductory scuba diving experience is ideal for those who want to try diving for the first time. The activity begins with a short briefing explaining the equipment and basic safety rules before entering the water accompanied by a professional instructor. The dive takes place in small groups for greater comfort and safety, allowing you to observe the volcanic seabed and various marine species such as fish, rays, moray eels, octopus or turtles. The time spent underwater depends on the option chosen (approximately 20 or 40 minutes).
You can also choose to enjoy snorkeling in Ray Bay, a guided activity of around 50 minutes that allows you to explore the underwater landscape from the surface while observing fish and other marine life that inhabit this area.
Another option is a snorkeling boat trip to Palm-Mar. After preparing the equipment at the dive center, you will sail from the port of Los Cristianos to an area near the fish farms, where turtles and other marine animals are often seen. During the boat ride you may also spot dolphins and enjoy views of Tenerife’s coastline from the sea.
