    “Fantastic service and food”

    First time in this resort. Very similar to Playacar, but smaller rooms, which I don’t like. But everything else was perfect. Service was great. Very friendly. The food was amazing. The best dive shop. Friendly people all around. Pool and activities were fun and the is was very good. I would definitely recommended. Great for kids also.

    “Great resort for the price”

    Stayed from February 8-15. 14 people in our group, 8 adults and 6 kids (ages 7-12). We have been to Cuba for the last 6 years and decided something different. About a 30 minute transfer from airport. Check in was easy and quick. The room was a bit small but clean, but we are not there for the room size! The resort is not huge but was well laid out. 3 pools - Kids pool, a quieter pool and a larger pool with the swim up bar and where the activities took place. Beach was nice, not as great as Cuba but was enjoyable. The water was not very clear so snorkeling wasn't great. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for all 14 of us to be seated together for dinner at the buffet. Also book 2 restaurants, Japanese and Mexican. Japanese being the better more entertaining but both where good. We got warned by the tour director about being bothered by people selling time shares in the lobby. None of us where ever approached so no big deal. Although we where told the resort was at capacity it never felt like that. Never have a problem getting lounge chairs at the beach or around the pool. No need to run down by 6am to claim them! Yes hot water was not the best when showering at times and the breakfast & lunch buffets can get a little boring but we just made the best of it. We enjoyed the nightly show. This is a great resort for families. Its not a party resort although they do have a disco that was busy some nights. Overall, it was a good vacation. As with most resorts, nothing is perfect!

    “The food ruined the vacation!”

    When we arrived the check in process wasn’t to bad maybe 20 minutes. We were impressed with the grounds as everything was beautiful and the kids splash pad was impressive for my kids. The rooms are small but nice and since your not in them to much They were perfect.....the beach was beautiful and it was perfect for not only swimming and playing in the sand but snorkelling as well. We enjoyed the pool in the middle most and all staff was definitely friendly! There were a lot of Iguanas and that was enjoyable too! Unfortunately there is a lot of negative.... the food was horrible and I mean horrible it was always cold even though it’s a buffet the way they keep the food warm is on a flat heated surface. So nothing was ever hot and the buffet was always the same items. The whole family got sick from the food and what we could eat would almost make us sick instantly! The beer was gross and if you like lighter beer ask for ice with it because it was not the best tasting beer to begin with! Also no straws so if you like to drink from a straw bring a reusable one for your drinks. We were told there would be internet and every daY for 6 days they would tell me to come back tomorrow. It just wasn’t working but they wouldn’t just say that until I got upset and finally front desk told me they just don’t know when it will be working! I like Cozumel but I will never choose this place again!!! My family was sick over half the time and having gross food really made it hard to enjoy the days! I never seen one show..... maybe they played them too late I don’t know but usually there are shows that the whole resort can enjoy but I didn’t see one and there was no advertisement for them either one day my kids just went on the stage and pretended to make their own show! I’d like to say you get what you pay for but I paid way to much for this trip and I don’t feel I got my monies worth!

    “Overall the Resort was OK.”

    Well the week started off good with no line up at check-in. Our rooms weren't ready but that was to be expected since it was early in the day. We had 4 rooms all together and the resort accommodated our request to be close to each other. We were on the first floor which was great because in the upper rooms you could hear everything going on in the other rooms. The rooms are on the small side and it would be a tight fit for a family of 4. Other then that they were clean and well stocked. The food well that were things go down hill. The food at the buffet was the same day in and day out which go very tiresome. Also 7 out of the 9 of us were all ill after eating the one night. Vast improvements need to be made to the buffet, the quality and the temp of the food needs to be improved as well. We were not the only ones that go sick that night either. So many reviews about the beach being great. I though it was ok lots of seaweed to walk through. I guess when I think of beaches in the Caribbean I think of white sand and crystal blue water. Neither of which were present at this resort. Over all I don't think I would return or recommend this resort in the future. If the food would have been better I probably would have a different opinion.

    our first time at an all inclusive rooms were comfy but thin walls. excellent access for diving and the premium level was well worth it the premium lounge was excellent breakfast was much better than the buffet
