    “First time stay here”

    Music loud until 10pm but stopped by then.The WiFi was great and bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. Maids do an outstanding job cleaning. We stayed near the pool.Food rotated on buffet but unless you eat at specialty restaurants you might get bored if you stay over 7 days.

    “Really Enjoyed Our Stay”

    This was our first trip to Cozumel but done Mexico 5 times in the last 7 years, Firstly we got a great deal with Blue bay travel here in the UK for £860 each 10 nights all inclusive. We had a great 10 hour flight with thomas cook followed by a swift taxi to Playacar then ran for the ferry to Cozumel which was leaving in 10 minutes so it was a long tough journey. Check in was ok until we were given our room keys and pointed in the direction our room was, We hadn't a clue where we was going and had 4 cases which was disappointing, We found problems with our room the next morning and needed moving immediately i went to reception to report my issue to be met by a woman on the check in desk who took my major issue to be more of an inconvenience to her, I showed her pictures i had taken and videos but her reaction was very disappointing to say the least. We did get another room on the ground floor several hours later which was excellent. Anyway this did not spoil our well earned Holiday at this lovely clean well kept resort. gorgeous grounds excellent pools beautiful beach with the amazing clear Blue sea. The food was fine everywhere, the speciality restaurant's were all good and never had a problem getting in them. The lunch in the pool restaurant was a bit repetitive but not a big issue. The staff work well and always friendly a tip always works for sure. Except the very very small bar man at the beach bar who was negative towards me as i had no money to tip him on my first drinks visit, the same guy on our first meeting was unhelpful on arriving when i asked him where i could get a towel from, Such a shame because all the other workers were fabulous. Oh and the DJ near the pool was terrible he played songs / tunes he liked not the guests [ they were woeful ] Overall we had a fab break me and my wife at a beautiful island retreat weather was excellent 9 days out of 10, Maybe we will go back in a few years when the hotel improves in certain areas [ See Below ] here are a few issues we feel need highlighting for others Reporting major issues in your room need acknowledging with some sort of compassion and professionalism instead of feeling you are being put out with a negative expression. When asking about hiring a jeep to drive around the island we were sucked into a selling pitch to visit the premium side to the hotel asking us which bank cards we use and told to take them to the meeting, this we found very very disappointing indeed and left a bad taste in our mouths for days, Again we wanted a nice sunshine break and to hire a jeep. The main pool at night time we found alarming that people were still swimming in it drunk with young children at 9pm onwards in the dark, Massive safety issue and a potential fatality which needs looking at ASAP. The same adults pool through the day was sadly used by families with lots of children instead of the fantastic kids pool with pirate ship and slides in, We would go to the swim up bar and find several family members with little ones filling up the service area making it difficult to get served. BE AWARE on a weekend this place becomes crazy and full with massive amounts of locals and all there families using pools and restaurants. Now on a more serious issue for all readers to take note. We hired a black jeep from the car hire shop directly over the road from the hotel we used our credit card which was new and had never being used before, Last night our bank contacted us saying the hire company had tried to withdraw $250 every other day since we come home, [ Over a week ago ] and also possibly sold our card details to others and had someone in Miami try to withdraw $250 regular also. This obviously has ne bearing on the Allegro Cozumel whatsoever but please DO NOT use the con men over the road. Tips Avoid the Argentinian guests like the plague, [ rude, miserable,won't queue, horrible ] Don't get overly dressed in the evenings you will look so out of place trust me, flip flops baseball cap and a vest worn by most Americans is criminal.

    “Fun Stay at The Allegro Cozumel”

    Loved the beach at the Allegro. It was relaxing, reasonably quiet and the right amount of entertainment. Food was good, especially the specialty restaurants. The pier and dive shop were convenient for Scuba. Wait staff friendly and very accommodating. Can't wait to go back next year.

    “Great family holiday in Cozumel”

    What a great resort Allegro is. The resort is clean, has great facilities, awesome pools, stunning beach location, fantastic staff and fun entertainment. All inclusive means exactly what it says EXCEPT for wifi which unfortunately isn't included. Having said that we used it as a great excuse to power down for the week. The Fuji restaurant is a must for guests but the buffet restaurants provide a great variety of food. The bar staff are very friendly and there a great choices for the all-inclusive drinks menu. The rooms a small but functional but they are pretty loud so I would suggest taking ear plugs. All in all, however a really fun, family vacation which we would highly recommend.

    “Amazing stay at the First Club”

    Our family had 3 rooms in the first club in mid February. I’m sorry I didn’t do a review before and it definitely is long overdue. We had read the somewhat mixed reviews and we’re a little bit concerned, but we have been to Mexico 35 times and we know how to read through some of the reviews. For your information if the worst thing they can say is The beds were hard and they were pressured with timeshare sales, Immediately!! dismiss such posts. First of all On timeshare, all you have to say is no and then that’s the end of it. You don’t have to feel obligated, you don’t have to feel bad about saying no just say no you are on vacation. However, we were not approached once about timeshares at this resort not once. Even if we had been we would’ve said no. And hard beds, you are not there to sleep. Anyway on to the real review. This resort is on one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches in the world and for sure the most beautiful beach in Cozumel, San Francisco beach. It is a beautiful white sand beach up to the crystal clear blue waters of Cozumel. You can snorkel right off the beach and we saw many things including stingrays. And, you can literally walk for miles each way. We thought the food was better than average all-inclusive food (and we have done a lot of them including secrets Cozumel just the year before and it wasn’t even close!!! Allegro was much better) The à la cart choices were good and varied so we ended up eating at each twice and liked Italian the best. But the Japanese restaurant where they prepared your food on a hibachi grill in front of you, and the Mexican restaurant were very good as well. The first club possibly could have more food selections, but the bar was excellent. They kept the top shelf alcohol flowing. Can you say Don Julio? And the overall experience was just great. There are very few beach vendors in this area and they have their own pier where snorkeling and diving boards come on a daily basis if you want to take an excursion. It was our first family trip where we’ve had three separate rooms and they placed us all close together. It was one of our best vacations ever and we would definitely go back and strongly recommend this resort. 5 of 5 stars!!
