    “An enjoyable vacation”

    Everyone attentive and friendly. I definitely will plan to return and bring others. My travel Agent recommended this location. It began with 4 people and our group became 12. They enjoyed their stay as well.

    “Beautiful spot, beautful view!”

    We enjoyed our stay at Barcelo, Ixtapa. We chose to upgrade to Premium level once we arrived on site, since we had done this at a Nuevo Vallarta property and had been so impressed by the service this level provided us. We were greeted by Sandy who quickly got us signed up for the Premium level and since our room wasn't ready we went to the Premium lounge for a bite to eat. We ordered our food at 11:30, at noon we asked what the hold up was, nobody could give us an answer. At 12:30 we got our food. We were not impressed. Omar, the Food & Beverage manager, apologized profusely and asked us to give them another chance. This was not a good start to our one week stay. Our room was on the 11th floor, had a beautiful view of the resort and ocean. The room was standard and clean. The 3 a la carte restaurants were all good. The buffets for all three meals had a great selection. The staff on the site were all great, very attentive and wanting to please. We did have issues with the phone in our room, on Tuesday night the phone would ring, one ring only, all night long. Wedsnesday morning I reported this, then again on Thursday morning and it wasn't fixed by the time we left on Friday. We had to take the phone off the cradle the last two nights of our stay. We tried the Premium lounge for dinner one night, and that was good. We tried it again for lunch half way thru our stay and ended up walking out after a 45 minute wait. The front line staff were always friendly and attentive, but somewhere along the line, communication broke down. This was very frustrating as we believe we did not get full value from our upgrade to Premium, and are very disappointed by this. Off site, to the left of the resort, we found a great massage place for a lot cheaper than the resort. We wanted to say a big thank you to Omar, Jose, Sandy, Carlos, Oscar, Leo, Emilioano, Carmelita and to the ladies and gentlemen in the Premium Lounge.

    “Used to be our favorite”

    We stayed here at least a dozen times and it was a favorite but when we last stayed they said something with the shower head was found broken and they wanted us to pay for it when we were checking out. It was defective and was not our fault. I was so insulted, they lost very good loyal customers.

    “Wonderful service and beautiful resort”

    We stayed total of 7 days this month in Sept. We highly recomend you ask for Ramon when eating your meals. Excellent service from Ramon. Christina, and Joshua as well. The food service mangers were always very helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and well kept. Premium club employees were great, Grecia excellent. WE WILL RETURN AND BRING FAMILY. Mary and Tim

    “You pay for thief’s actions”

    Hotel is not bad. Room as tidy and cared for. Food is average - certainly boring after a few days. Not impressed at being being charged for a towel that another guest took from our chairs while we swam. Seriously? Won’t return.
