    “2nd Time in Paradise”

We returned to Karmina Barcelo for the 2nd time a few months ago and again totally enjoyed our stay. We especially liked the size of the standard room and bathroom. We the grounds and pool area. We participated in yoga, aqua aerobics, kayaking, dance classes and enjoyed the staff people who encouraged us. The daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets have a hugh selection of high quality food. The Mexican and Italian booked restaurants were ok and especially liked the different atmosphere of each restaurant. We felt bad that the past hurricane wreaked golf course hole #14. The resort sits in a beautiful quiet bay so no high waves to worry about. Wi-Fi is available but you have to pay. Entertainment is offered every night. We will positively return again

    “Husband needed IV and medication”

We were at the Barcelo April 12-19/17 we loved the weather it was great the entire week and so were the pools. The resort was very disappointing starting with our room it had a sunken living room who would put a sunken living room in a resort that is all inclusive alcohol??? The meals including the a la cartes were terrible. The beach was awful. Upon our return my husband had to get medical treatment, IV and medication for his stomach! Our last day we checked out at 12, left for the airport at 1. The restaurant closed at 12 so we had a late breakfast, no food at the airport got on the plane and thought we would buy a meal on the airplane. Well much to our surprise they ran out of food, now I'm an adult but what about the children? Or people who have diabetes? We finally ate at 12:30 after being without for 12 hours. Not acceptable Sunwing!

    “The best part of Mexico”

We stayed at the Barcello over Easter Weekend and had a terrific time. We were forewarned that this weekend would be very busy as it is a popular time for locals to holiday, but we were surprised how comfortable the resort remained with all its extra vacationers. Food was pretty standard for this resort. The buffet was fully stocked at all times and there were plenty of other options to eat during the day. Would recommend the Agave restaurant for dinners, the Capri for an afternoon wine and reserving a Balinese bed for the day. The Japanese and BBQ could have some rom for improvement so don't get too excited about them. If you have the opportunity to upgrade your suite, do it. The 6th and 7th floors are the premier rooms which include room service and better views. Order a pot of coffee in the morning and enjoy the sunrise on your patio- the birds are amazing. We booked a couples massage on the beach on morning which was really nice. Take the first time as the sun gets very warm. Bring a bottle of bubbles with you and enjoy. I would like to give a special thank you to the main lobby bartender Fernando for making our trip accommodating and memorable. Pay close attention to how neat and tidy he keeps his bar because this guy knows how to mix a proper cocktail. Please do not waste his time with a blended margarita, save them for the pool. If you're heading there soon please shake his hand for us and order a Rusty Nail ;) If you're hanging out at the main pool look out for Hugo, he's quick and remembers everything you order (more bubbles) Treat him well- thanks Hugo. If you're not sure if you want to take a tour, we did the shopping day. Its cheap and not only do you visit the markets, Pacho took us to small parts of town and take note to his food recommendations because we rented a car the next day and hit every taco stand he said. Great tour! Out of all the places we have visited in Mexico, Manzanillo is seriously a hidden gem. Its clean, quiet and unbelievably safe. Its a working port so the crime is little, families are big and street crime doesn't exist. The town is friendly and welcoming so please take a day to get out of the resort and explore!! “April Stay”

Stayed 3 nights here in April. Had been in a house in La Punta for a week prior and decided to stay here for a few nights for something different. The grounds are beautiful and the facilities are very nice. We upgraded to the Premium level and I would say it was worth it. Had a seperate checkin area where you could eat and get your own drinks. The lounge also had computers and tv. Having the premium band allowed you to get better liquor as well as reservations at the restaurants. My wife loved being able to reserve a private bed on the beach each day. The food in the Japanese was ok. The Mexican had the best views and the food was good. They have a piano in the lobby and we loved the guy playing on the weekend. Great spot to have a drink and enjoy the music. The rooms were very nice with top grade bedding. Bathrooms were spacious with double sinks tub and seperate shower.
