    “Excellent 👍🏻”

We’ve been going there for over 16 years, the best hotel to eat at,all staff members are extremely polite and helpful, its a very tranquil place to go and relax for a few days, it has a special charm, extremely recommend.

“Beautiful, peaceful (mostly), great staff and excellent rooms”

It's a lovely hotel, I won't repeat everything that's been written before and try to focus on helpful hints. I will reiterate that breakfast is fabulous. None of the 'this looks like it could be food poisoning waiting to happen' that you sometimes see at hotel buffets where there's too much on display that could have been re-used and left out for too long. The chef was diligently popping in and out to replenish regularly and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. Rooms: we stayed in a garden suite room and loved it. Enormous with our own little garden area. It's significantly more expensive than the regular rooms but I'd strongly recommend the extra €€. Pool: fabulous area and the pool area beds are nicely spaced so you're a fair distance from others. But the water temperature in early May was too cold for us to swim in and judging by the number of others in the pool we probably weren't alone. I guess that heating such massive pools would be somewhat expensive. Positives: Elisa's tour of the property at midday for an hour or so was really interesting and she's a very good hostess. Negatives: we were down at the pool when a party of Thomson Tours cyclists arrived who were really noisy, shouting and being completely insensitive to the peace and quiet. One of them, shouting from one end of the pool to the other even mentioned his amusement that they were staying in a Hideaway Hotel and destroying the ambience. If you think over-excitable hen/stag night group behaviour....well that was what it felt like....in comparison to a very laid back experience thus far. So we left and rather than encounter the group at dinner in a hotel restaurant, drove off site and found the supermarket in the nearby town and picnicked in the countryside. I am well aware that you can not choose your fellow guests but be aware that such groups stay here. 40-45 mins easy drive from Granada Airport. If renting from Avis, suggest you check your emailed receipt as they put our return location for the car as Granada Railway Station, not Airport and charged us an extra €30. Perhaps this was a genuine mistake. The birdsong in May was wonderful, never heard anything like it. Maybe because it was so quiet and peaceful (mostly) otherwise.

    “Outstanding Spanish Ficha”

The international name Royal Hideaway is deserved. It looks like an old Spanish village and it provides a lot of luxury. A real treat for relaxation and outstanding surroundings. I will be back and can highly recommend this hotel.

    “A brilliant break”

The is an amazing hotel...very relax and welcoming. Food was excellent with great choice of fresh fruit, yogurts etc at breakfast and two lovely restaurant choices for dinner. Managed to go cycling on site and play tennis...a real bonus for a short break.

    “Amazing 5*”

This breathtaking 5* hotel hideaway is without a doubt one of the best we have experienced. From the minute we arrived until the moment we left the staff and service was professional and perfect. The reception area with high ceilings and a lovely lobby area for sitting was first of many fabulous things we experienced. Our room was a superior room with a balcony, this wasnt your normal superior room though, it was more so a luxury apartment. There are many breathtaking views, the pool area was lovely and they even have a church onsite. We had lunch at El Cortijo which was really nice and then for our dinner we dined in La Finca restaurant where we chose to try the finca experience gourmet menu, this was unusual but exquisite, we would highly reccomend to try. Breakfast was also fabulous with plenty of options and we sat by the window over looking the breathtaking views of the outdoor patio areas. We went on the ruta del astro 3.5km walk early morning, if you are active like us, this is without a doubt something to experience during the stay at this fantastic hideaway. We will definitely we returning to La Bobadilla, recommend it to our friends and make it one of our preferences to return each year.
