In Taghazout, argan oil plays a key role in everyday life and in Berber cultural heritage. This workshop offers a direct introduction to a tradition passed down through generations in the Agadir Souss Massa region.
The experience begins with hotel pick-up and transfer to the activity location. On arrival, a guide presents the historical and social context of the argan tree, highlighting its importance in the local economy and in women’s cooperatives involved in its production.
During the workshop, you will take part in the traditional extraction process, from handling the fruit to obtaining the oil. This hands-on approach allows you to understand each stage and the craftsmanship involved.
The visit continues with a tour of the museum, where you will learn more about the uses of argan in cosmetics, food and wellbeing. Afterwards, you will enjoy a tasting of products made with argan oil, including Amlou, served with bread and Moroccan tea.
The experience also includes time to learn about the benefits of the product and its impact on the local community, offering a broader perspective on its value.
Through aromas, textures and traditional gestures, this activity becomes a meaningful connection with a living heritage.
