The region of Taghazout is home to one of the most distinctive landscapes in southwest Morocco: the argan biosphere, recognised by UNESCO for its ecological and cultural value. This environment brings together forests, valleys and walking trails that reveal the natural richness of the area at a relaxed pace.
The experience begins with hotel pick-up and transfer to the starting point. Accompanied by a guide, the route follows paths through areas of argan trees and green spaces, offering changing views of the landscape throughout the walk.
Along the way, insights are shared about the role of the argan tree within the local ecosystem, as well as its importance in the region’s culture and economy. The guide also provides context on traditions and ways of life connected to this environment.
The activity includes a visit to the museum, where you will learn more about the argan tree and its various uses. Midway through the walk, a stop is made to enjoy a traditional mint tea in a calm setting. The route then continues along trails and natural viewpoints before coming to an end, always maintaining an accessible pace adapted to the group.
The quiet of the landscape, broken only by the wind and footsteps on the ground, turns this walk into a different way of connecting with the surroundings.
