Description
From Agadir, this full-day excursion explores some of the most distinctive landscapes in southern Morocco, combining protected natural areas, local traditions and open coastal scenery. Throughout the journey, wild environments alternate with cultural stops that offer a deeper understanding of life in the region.
The route enters the Souss Massa National Park, an area known for its biodiversity, where species such as gazelles, oryx and ostriches can be observed in semi-freedom. Nearby, the Souss river estuary attracts numerous bird species, making it an important location for birdlife.
The journey continues along the Atlantic coast to Sidi Rbat Beach, a largely untouched stretch of coastline where the landscape remains almost unspoilt. In this area, you will also visit a traditional fishermen’s cave integrated into the natural surroundings.
The itinerary then moves inland, passing through Berber villages and the town of Massa, where everyday local life can be observed. The scenery shifts again at the oasis of Rasmouka, surrounded by vegetation, with views over the Youssef Ben Tachfine dam and the Anti-Atlas mountains.
During the day, a traditional Berber lunch is included, featuring dishes such as tagine or couscous, accompanied by mint tea. There is also a stop at a local pottery space, where you can learn about this traditional craft.
