Description
From Agadir, this full-day route leads into southern Morocco, where landscapes gradually shift towards a more arid and traditional setting. Throughout the journey, cultural stops are combined with scenic drives that reveal a different side of the country.
The itinerary passes through towns such as Taliouine, known for its saffron production, and Taznakht, where textile craftsmanship remains part of everyday life. These stops offer insight into local traditions before continuing inland.
The highlight of the day is the visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This traditional earthen village stands out for its walls, towers and narrow streets, and has served as a backdrop for numerous film productions.
After free time to explore the kasbah and its surroundings, the experience continues in Ouarzazate, where you can visit the Atlas Film Studios (entrance not included), known for hosting sets from major international productions.
Before returning, there is a stop at the Taourirt Kasbah, a 19th-century structure that reflects southern Moroccan architecture with its maze-like layout and decorative details.
Along the way, it is not uncommon to spot goats climbing argan trees, a characteristic image of the region. A journey that connects history, landscapes and culture, leaving the impression of having crossed several worlds in a single day.
