Description
The Caminito del Rey is one of the most remarkable routes in the province of Málaga, set within the striking Gaitanes Gorge. This excursion offers the opportunity to explore this natural setting along an elevated walkway built into the rock face, with open views over the surrounding landscape.
The experience begins with transport from selected points along the Costa del Sol to the entrance of the trail. Once there, you’ll follow a walking route of approximately 4.8 kilometres, combining paths and wooden walkways designed to provide a clear and safe passage through the gorge.
Throughout the route, the contrast between steep rock walls, the river below and the surrounding vegetation creates a distinctive environment shaped by both nature and history. The walk follows a linear route and is designed to be completed at a steady pace, always following the established safety guidelines.
After completing the hike, the return journey is made by bus, bringing the experience to a close. A well-known route that stands out for its setting and offers a different way to connect with the Andalusian landscape.
