We will pick you up by coach with our guide at the selected time and meeting point to begin your one-day excursion to Morocco. During the journey, you’ll enjoy the scenic drive along Málaga and the Costa del Sol while our guide shares fascinating stories and insights about Morocco.
We will arrive in Algeciras at around 9:30 am to board a fast ferry for a 60-minute crossing to Ceuta. Enjoy the experience of sailing across the Strait of Gibraltar!
At 11:00 am, once in Ceuta, your adventure into Moroccan territory begins. During the coach tour through the city, you’ll pass by some of its most emblematic landmarks, such as the Royal Walls and the San Felipe moat, which you’ll see from the vehicle before continuing towards the border.
Upon reaching the border crossing, please have your documentation ready. Our guide will assist you with the formalities, and once across, you’ll begin a 30-minute panoramic coach journey from Ceuta to Tétouan, enjoying the landscape along the way—don’t forget your camera, as we’ll make a stop so you can capture some great photos.
You will spend approximately 5 hours in Tétouan. Once there, you’ll enjoy a pleasant guided walk with a local guide, who will show you the most iconic areas of the city. We’ll begin at Moulay El Mehdi Square, the starting point of Tétouan’s Spanish quarter. If you’ve seen the series The Time in Between, you may recognise this circular square, home to the Church of Our Lady of Victory. We’ll then continue through the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter, the Mellah, where you’ll find the beautiful Bengualid Synagogue. You’ll also see Hassan II Square, home to the Royal Palace (also known as the Khalifa’s Palace), the Archaeological Museum, and the Centre of Modern Art—there’s plenty to take in.
The souk of Tétouan offers a true journey back in time, where you can discover the craftsmanship of local artisans. We’ll continue through the Medina of Tétouan, characterised by its white walls and green doors. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the smallest in the country. Around midday, we’ll stop for lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, where you can enjoy local folklore while tasting a delicious couscous accompanied by traditional mint tea and Arabic pastries.
After lunch, we’ll stroll through Tétouan’s commercial area and visit a few shops for those wishing to do some shopping. We’ll also visit a traditional Berber pharmacy, where you’ll find a wide range of natural products and cosmetics—discover the many benefits of argan oil.
At the time indicated by your guide, we will regroup for the return to Ceuta. At 8:30 pm, we’ll board the ferry back to Algeciras, arriving at approximately 9:30 pm, before continuing to the original pick-up points.
