Description

The historic centre of Valencia brings together key landmarks that reflect the city’s artistic and cultural development. This guided tour includes access to several interiors, offering a more in-depth perspective.

The route begins at the Serranos Towers, one of the former entrances to the medieval city. From here, the walk continues through the old town, where different historical stages of Valencia are explained.

The tour includes entry to the Church of San Nicolás, known for its baroque frescoes, as well as the Silk Exchange, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a notable example of Gothic civil architecture.

The itinerary continues towards the Central Market area and the Valencia Cathedral, where elements from different periods coexist and where the tradition of the Holy Grail is located.

The visit ends at Plaza de la Virgen, one of the city’s oldest squares, home to archaeological remains and traditions such as the Water Tribunal.

Moving between interiors and open spaces, the route reveals how each historical layer contributes to the city as it stands today.
