Description
The Fallas of Valencia are one of the city’s most distinctive celebrations, recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. This guided tour offers an introduction to their origins, development and cultural significance.
Throughout the route, you will walk through central areas where some of the main fallas monuments are displayed. These large-scale creations, known as ninots, reflect a combination of artistic work, satire and local tradition.
During the visit, your guide explains key aspects of the festival, from the plantà, when the monuments are installed, to the cremà, when they are burned as part of the celebration’s cycle. The tour also explores elements such as music, fireworks and the atmosphere that defines these days in the city.
The experience provides context to better understand the role of the festival within Valencian culture, while discovering both major sites and smaller details along the way.
