Cheese and wine, two traditional products of our land that come together in perfect harmony. The Utiel-Requena region is a protected designation of origin area for its wines, among which the Bobal grape variety stands out—unique in the world and with a long historical tradition.
You will begin by learning in depth about the process of making artisan cheeses, tasting the unique products of this land. In the charming little village of Los Pedrones, you will discover a truly authentic cheese dairy, a family business run by three brothers who share a single passion: making the best cheese in the world. To master their craft, they learned the art of goat cheese production in northern Spain, a delicious variety they now mature in unique caves that provide the perfect temperature and special conditions for these creations. These cheeses, rich in flavor and texture, are handcrafted using top-quality fresh goat’s milk from their own goats, raised in a peaceful natural environment.
On this excursion, you will enjoy a cheese-making workshop, visit the impressive caves, and learn about cheeses and their production process. Afterwards, you will take part in a guided tasting where you will sample eight different cheese varieties with drinks included.
After finishing the experience at the cheese dairy, we will head to the Vera de Estenas Winery, where you will walk through the vineyards and learn how their wines are made, ending with a guided wine tasting accompanied by a light snack. This is a family-run winery that has been passed down through generations, currently managed by Edu, and located in a dreamlike setting with a picturesque country house perched atop a hill and surrounded by beautiful vineyards.
This excursion is perfect for everyone, including families. The cheese workshop is dynamic, educational, and fun, and the winery features lovely gardens where children can explore and play while parents enjoy the wine tasting.
