The visit begins in Sagunto’s Old Town, the true heart of the city. Here you’ll find the Sagunto Archaeological Museum, a must-see for history lovers. Inside, you can admire unique artifacts and figures dating back to the 8th century BC, bearing witness to the Iberian, Greek, Carthaginian, and Roman cultures that left their mark on this land.
We will continue our walk through the narrow streets of the historic center until reaching the majestic Roman Theatre of Sagunto, one of the city’s most iconic monuments. Declared Spain’s first National Monument, this theater impresses visitors with the layout of its stage, the perfection of its seating, and its incredible acoustics, which still amaze visitors today.
After visiting the theater, we will ascend to the Sagunto Castle, a fortress that towers over the city and offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean coast. Walking along its walls is like traveling back in time and reliving centuries of history.
To complete this experience, we will explore the Via Augusta, one of the most important Roman roads of the Empire, whose remains can still be seen in the very center of Sagunto.
