    “OVERBOOKED NIGHTMARE”

    We arrived at the hotel late at night just to find out that our reservation was gone. The person at the desk who didn't knew how to handle the situation at all , apologized for the inconvinience and told us to leave. At the moment another client was there arguing he was assigned a room that was already occupied. This was a bummer since we had to look up for another hotel near the area for the night without any reservation My impressions after this is that a big name like barcelo should look up after this kind of operational mistakes, it is completley unacceptable to deal with this kind of situations .

Overbooking is a highly exceptional situation for Barceló that is prevented by proceeding with a sales stop on all sales channels whenever we reach a certain amount of bookings for a same period, unfortunately it may happen that a booking is made simultanesly and passes through. In these cases, we immediately inform the collaborating travel agents so as to offer an alternative accommodation in the same area and with similar characteristics to ensure our guests can enjoy the holiday they have been looking forward to, striving to minimize the impact on their overall holiday expérience, please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience occured.     “Couple and 2.5year old ”

    Such a lovely place! We have spent 2 nights here with my hubby and my 2.5 year old daughter and we absolutely loved it! Staff is very helpful Pools are warm and clean, breakfast was nice with ots of choices Location is okay, we didn't really leave the hotel Had dinner in the hotel once, nothing special.

    “Nice hotel. ”

    This is a hotel related with Barcelo hotels. My room was new. Room was clean. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel has two separated buildings liked by a stone bridge. The cons are: beds are a little bit hard and there is not that much parking lot but there is a place you can leave your car. This is a hotel I will come back again.

    “Hotel ok, restaurant mwha”

    Hotel is good, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls are not to thick, so it is not quiet, but it is not that you can understand every word in the other room. The people of the hotel are friendly. The restaurant is ok, but I don't recommend diner. The breakfast is also ok, but nothing special. Personally if traveling on holidays I would go across the street to sanborns for breakfast or diner. The price/quality is I think better

    “Service could have been better.”

    I have to say I was very surprised with my experience at this Barcelo as I have stayed at others and didn't expect it to go this bad. My family and I booked 3 rooms this past weekend as we attended my aunt's 90th birthday party. Which I have to say I had to leave the party to go and get everyone checked in. When my family arrived to check in they were told that they only had one reservation and no other rooms were available. In order to get checked in they would have to pay the nightly rate of $2000+ pesos. Before I arrived I tried calling to see if we could take care of this problem without me going in but it was unsuccessful. Once I arrived I brought in my copy of the room I paid for and they found rooms for us. We were all separated. One of the rooms didn't have towels, good thing we brought our own. In my room I had to share a King size bed with my mother as they didn't have any other rooms available. Our room had empty boxes of pills in the bathroom and it looked like someone had already stayed there. Since it was so late at night and we just wanted to get some rest we just took the room. I never expected to have this type of service, I was very disappointed. I was told to avoid this next time that I should book directly with the hotel. I do have to mention that I always use Hotels.com to book rooms and never had a problem. I have used them for years now and even used it in Cancun at the Barcelo TuCancun and used my free night without a problem.
