Description
Origen is a stage production that pays tribute to the identity of the Canary Islands through live music, acrobatics and performing arts. Over the course of more than three hours, the show unfolds in four acts inspired by the archipelago’s volcanic history, its mythology, the period of conquest, Carnival and Drag culture.
Featuring more than 30 performers, the production combines narrative, rhythm and visual expression in a programme that highlights key moments and symbols of Canarian culture.
The evening can be complemented with a Km 0 tasting menu, designed to accompany the progression of the show. The culinary proposal begins with burrata from the highlands of Gran Canaria served with semi-dried tomato, Mogán avocado tartare, chilled almond cream and smoked butter, alongside a banana and prickly pear infusion. The main course, “Mestizaje”, features slow-cooked beef with mushroom ragout, cured cheese and truffle parmentier, red wine sauce and achiote crisp. The dessert, “Orígenes”, presents a banana mousse volcano dusted with cocoa, filled with mango coulis and accompanied by Origen Príncipe Alberto chocolate.
Performance and cuisine come together in a single evening, offering a cultural and gastronomic option for enjoying a night out in Gran Canaria.
