Later, in Teror, we see the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pine and walk through its main square, surrounded by houses with distinctive wooden balconies.
The route continues through Firgas, known as the “Balcony of the Atlantic”, where we stroll along the Paseo de Gran Canaria and Paseo de Canarias, laid out on what was once the old Calle Real del Centro. From here, there are wide views over the northern coastline.
The final stretch leads to Puerto de Las Nieves in Agaete, currently the island’s main maritime connection with Tenerife. Along this coastal area, the cliffs shape the landscape, and the former Roque Partido, popularly known as the “Finger of God”, remains part of local heritage.
The day also includes a stop at the banana plantation known as El Museo del Plátano. The visit and tasting are available at an additional cost of €5 per person, payable directly during the excursion. There is also optional time for lunch.
