The mountainous interior of Gran Canaria is home to some of the island’s most significant natural and cultural landmarks. This approximately 7-hour guided excursion allows you to explore them in a small group, accompanied by a professional guide.
One of the first highlights is the Bandama Volcano, formed over 2,000 years ago and one of the clearest examples of the area’s volcanic origins. The tour also includes a stop in San Mateo, where you can observe local daily life and, if the visit takes place on a Saturday, its traditional market.
The route continues to higher-altitude areas until reaching Pico de las Nieves, the highest point on the island, offering a wide panoramic view of the central landscape. Nearby is the Roque Nublo Viewpoint, where you can admire this basalt monolith rising more than 65 metres high, shaped by volcanic activity and erosion.
At Cruz de Tejeda and its National Parador, you will have time to discover local products such as cheeses, olives and almonds, as well as traditional handicrafts. The itinerary is completed with a visit to Teror, home to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pine, before heading back to Las Palmas.
A tour designed to help you understand the natural and cultural diversity of Gran Canaria’s interior through its landscapes, villages and volcanic formations.
