Description

Full-day excursion through the landscapes of northern Gran Canaria.

Northern Gran Canaria is known for its rugged and dramatic scenery, as well as a coastline lined with impressive cliffs that withstand the force of the Atlantic Ocean.

Our first stop will be Arucas, a town whose historic center—declared a site of historical and artistic interest—offers a rich sensory experience from the moment you arrive. Its Parish Church of San Juan Bautista is the most emblematic architectural landmark of the municipality. Heritage, culture, and tradition will accompany you throughout your visit.

We then continue to Teror, a pilgrimage site for the inhabitants of Gran Canaria, where we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pine, patron saint of the Diocese of the Canary Islands. The Plaza de Teror is the neuralgic center of the town; from here you can admire the typical wooden balconies of traditional Canarian architecture that decorate many homes. This spacious square serves both as the entrance to the basilica and as the gateway to the town’s historic quarter.

Our route then leads us to Firgas, whose old town invites a pleasant walk among its many points of tourist interest. We will visit the Paseo de Gran Canaria and the Paseo de Canarias, both located in the town center along what was once the old Calle Real. Firgas is also known as the “Balcony of the Atlantic” thanks to its breathtaking views over the ocean and the northern, eastern, and western coasts of Gran Canaria.

Finally, we will visit Puerto de Las Nieves, the coastal area of the municipality of Agaete. Today, it is the main maritime connection between Gran Canaria and Tenerife. This picturesque and charming fishing village is known for its striking cliffs and its small but beautiful beaches with cold, crystal-clear waters. Although now gone, the famous Roque Partido, popularly known as “God’s Finger,” remains an iconic symbol in the island’s history.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the Banana Plantation “El Museo del Plátano” and enjoy a tasting (not included in the price).
