Description
The SSI Open Water Diver course lasts two days and provides the official certification required to dive independently. It is the entry-level programme for those wishing to begin diving with internationally recognised credentials.
The practical sessions run approximately from 8:30 to 13:30 and include four open water dives, two per day. All dives take place directly in the ocean under the supervision of certified instructors. During these sessions, you will learn how to use the equipment correctly, practise essential diving skills and build confidence in open water conditions.
The theoretical component can be completed in advance through the official SSI app. This online system allows you to study at your own pace using interactive lessons, videos and quizzes. Simply download the app, create a free account, select the dive centre and access the course materials.
Once you have successfully completed both the theory and practical sections, you will receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification, valid worldwide and qualifying you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

- Not suitable for people with epilepsy
- Not suitable for people with hypertension
- Not suitable for those who have recently undergone surgery
- Weather conditions may change; it is recommended to bring extra clothing or a light jacket
- Some dives may take place from rocky beaches; flip-flops are not recommended
