Description
Travel through the Serra de Tramuntana aboard two of Mallorca’s most iconic forms of transport in a half-day experience focused on scenery, heritage and traditional railway travel. This route offers the chance to visit the Sóller valley without taking up an entire day.
The journey begins in Palma on the historic Sóller train, operating since the early 20th century and still preserving much of its original character. Along the route, you’ll pass through tunnels, mountain landscapes and agricultural areas filled with orange and olive trees while enjoying panoramic views over inland Mallorca.
Once in Sóller, you’ll have time to walk around the historic centre and admire some of its best-known modernist buildings, including Sant Bartomeu Church and the former Bank of Sóller, associated with architect Joan Rubió, a disciple of Gaudí.
The experience then continues aboard the century-old Sóller tram, linking the town with Port de Sóller through orchards and coastal streets beside the sea. On arrival, you’ll have time to enjoy the harbour atmosphere surrounded by mountains and the bay.
The sound of the wooden train, the scent of citrus groves and the Mediterranean views accompany the entire route, creating a journey filled with character and timeless scenery.
