Description

This full-day route showcases a quieter and more traditional side of Mallorca, travelling through coastal scenery, mountain roads and rural inland areas that reveal the island’s cultural and natural diversity. Throughout the day, you’ll pass landscapes shaped by centuries of agriculture and small villages that still preserve their local character.

The journey begins along the western edge of the Serra de Tramuntana, where steep mountains descend dramatically towards the Mediterranean. Along the route, you’ll see terraced hillsides, medieval watchtowers and villages such as Estellencs and Banyalbufar, both closely linked to Mallorca’s traditional way of life.

Later, you’ll arrive in Valldemossa, one of the island’s most admired mountain villages. Surrounded by olive groves and almond trees, its narrow streets and historic atmosphere attracted artists and writers including Chopin, George Sand and Rubén Darío. You’ll have free time to wander through the village at your own pace.

The landscape then opens into Mallorca’s central plains, where a traditional lunch featuring local tapas and “variats” will be served, accompanied by wine, water and dessert. The experience continues with a stop at the Bonany Hermitage, known for its panoramic island views, before ending with a visit to a local pearl factory where artisan techniques can still be observed.

Sea views, stone villages, local flavours and peaceful rural scenery shape a route designed for travellers wanting to experience Mallorca beyond its busiest areas.
