Discover the legacy of César Manrique on an approximately 8-hour excursion to several of the Art and Tourism Centres that reshaped Lanzarote’s cultural landscape in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Together with Jesús Soto, Manrique promoted a model based on the integration of art and nature, transforming volcanic formations into cultural landmarks with international recognition. His vision combined sustainability, local identity and tourism development under a shared philosophy.
The route includes visits to the Monumento al Campesino, Cactus Garden, Mirador del Río and the César Manrique Foundation. You will also choose between Jameos del Agua or the Cueva de los Verdes, both part of the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of the Volcán de la Corona.
Along the way, you will enjoy panoramic views of Haría, the Famara cliffs, the Volcán de la Corona and the northern landscape of the island.
A journey that shows how artistic vision can shape the identity of a destination.
