Explore the Volcanoes Natural Park, which surrounds Timanfaya National Park, on a guided route that explains Lanzarote’s volcanic origins.
The eruptions that began in 1730 and continued for six years completely reshaped the island, creating lava fields, craters and ash landscapes that remain among the most representative volcanic settings in the Canary Islands.
The excursion lasts approximately 6 hours in total, including around 3 hours of easy-level hiking covering roughly 6 kilometres. Along the route, you will observe volcanic cones, lava tunnels and a variety of geological formations, with colours ranging from deep reds to blacks and characteristic ochre tones.
A chance to walk across terrain shaped by historic eruptions and experience the landscape from within.
