Discover the world of wine and craft beer on a tour that explores two of the most representative drinks of Lanzarote’s gastronomic culture. This experience offers insight into local production methods shaped by the island’s unique volcanic environment.
After pick-up in Playa Blanca, the excursion begins in small groups of no more than eight participants accompanied by a specialised local guide. The first stop is a winery located in the area of La Geria, where you will learn about the distinctive method of cultivating vines in volcanic ash. A short walk through the vineyards introduces the annual cycle of the vines and the way they are protected from the island’s winds.
During the visit you will see part of the equipment and techniques used in winemaking before enjoying a guided tasting of three premium wines accompanied by local goat’s cheese.
The tour then continues with a visit to a craft brewery, where you will learn about the brewing process, the ingredients used and the particular challenges of producing beer on an island with limited water resources. The experience concludes with a tasting of three craft beers, also served with local cheese.
An enjoyable way to discover another side of Lanzarote’s gastronomic traditions.
