The sun-drenched Costa del Sol along the Mediterranean coastline is home to numerous courses easily accessible by guests at Barceló Marbella. Located nearby is the Guadalmina Golf Club, offering two courses, one with 18 holes and one with nine. Golfers can perfect their swing by recruiting instructors available through the hotel.

Another golf tourism destination is Manzanillo in Mexico. Guests at the Barceló Karmina will find Las Hadas, a spectacular course where the 18th hole is on an island next to the hotel. Just 45 minutes from the hotel, the 27-hole Isla Navidad course will delight players with views of mountains, oceans and winding lagoons. Only 12 kilometers from the hotel is Corazón de Manzanillo, a private course surrounded by sand dunes.

Barceló Ixtapa Beach, located north of Acapulco, is adjacent to Palma Real course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with close attention to balancing native vegetation with the needs of golfers. La Marina course is also conveniently located near the hotel. The hotel regularly offers specials on greens fees.

Costa Rica is also home to the Barceló Tambor hotel, in the Nicoya Peninsula. The hotel partners with Los Delfines, which may be the only golf course in the world where a flock of scarlet macaws shares the same space with golfers. The course is located a little over half a mile away from the hotel. Guests at the Barceló Tambor hotel can visit and enjoy this service for an additional cost.

Barceló Bávaro Beach, an adults only resort in the Dominican Republic, offers an 18-hole championship golf course. It winds through a mangrove forest past 25 inland lakes. This beautifully maintained course was designed by the renowned builder P. D. Dye, and incorporates native plants around the greens and fairways.
