    “Nice hotel. ”

This is a hotel related with Barcelo hotels. My room was new. Room was clean. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel has two separated buildings liked by a stone bridge. The cons are: beds are a little bit hard and there is not that much parking lot but there is a place you can leave your car. This is a hotel I will come back again.

    “Hotel ok, restaurant mwha”

Hotel is good, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The walls are not to thick, so it is not quiet, but it is not that you can understand every word in the other room. The people of the hotel are friendly. The restaurant is ok, but I don't recommend diner. The breakfast is also ok, but nothing special. Personally if traveling on holidays I would go across the street to sanborns for breakfast or diner. The price/quality is I think better

    “Service could have been better.”

I have to say I was very surprised with my experience at this Barcelo as I have stayed at others and didn't expect it to go this bad. My family and I booked 3 rooms this past weekend as we attended my aunt's 90th birthday party. Which I have to say I had to leave the party to go and get everyone checked in. When my family arrived to check in they were told that they only had one reservation and no other rooms were available. In order to get checked in they would have to pay the nightly rate of $2000+ pesos. Before I arrived I tried calling to see if we could take care of this problem without me going in but it was unsuccessful. Once I arrived I brought in my copy of the room I paid for and they found rooms for us. We were all separated. One of the rooms didn't have towels, good thing we brought our own. In my room I had to share a King size bed with my mother as they didn't have any other rooms available. Our room had empty boxes of pills in the bathroom and it looked like someone had already stayed there. Since it was so late at night and we just wanted to get some rest we just took the room. I never expected to have this type of service, I was very disappointed. I was told to avoid this next time that I should book directly with the hotel. I do have to mention that I always use Hotels.com to book rooms and never had a problem. I have used them for years now and even used it in Cancun at the Barcelo TuCancun and used my free night without a problem.

“Lively Oasis in an Ugly Town”

Stayed 2 nights at Barcelo and were very pleased. The hotel is clean, modern, and sleek, a welcome contrast to an otherwise disappointing city. We had heavy bags so at checkin were assigned a basement-like room looking out on an alley of parked cars and a busy taco stand. We immediately set that straight, asking for a better room on an upper floor--heavy luggage and all. The desk happily reassigned room 909 (I think) facing the pool courtyard. Lovely, large room. Great shower. The restaurant will supply hielo for drinks. One helpful note about shower/tub drains in Mexico. When there's not a rubber drain cover, use a wet hand towel to block odor. A little odor is normal even the finest hotels, the Barcelo is minor in comparison. Be careful walking at night (or day for that matter). Not because of crime but because Cuernavaca streets are horrible for pedestrians. Really poor, inconsistent, uneven sidewalks that suddenly end leaving you standing in traffic. Almost every street is packed with too many transit busses rushing too fast, belching out exhaust. And lighting is dim to nonexistent. Take cabs or stay in the hotel at night. It's a shame. I think Cuernavaca was once a lovely place. Now it's a dingy, dirty, dump.

“Good place for a short stay”

Spent only one night at Barcelo Cuernavaca. I think there where only few guests, so it was very quite (stayed in room 909). Big room, good ac, big bathroom and a nice balcony. Close to the center and other places of interest. Taxis waiting in front of the hotel tend to charge a lot compared to the ones you can get on the street.
