Experience the Almond Blossom Festival in Tejeda, one of the most representative cultural events in Gran Canaria. Each year, when almond trees bloom and the landscape turns white and pink, the municipality marks the beginning of its traditional festive calendar with a day dedicated to local heritage.
The programme opens with an official ceremony and a showcase of traditional Canarian crafts, highlighting local skills and cultural expressions. Throughout the day, the streets host the performance of the Rancho de Ánimas of Tejeda, a recognised example of Canarian oral and musical tradition, together with an exhibition of native animals.
The celebration continues with folk music gatherings, traditional dances and tastings of typical products, with special emphasis on almond-based specialities, a key ingredient in the area’s gastronomy.
A day that brings together blossoming landscapes, cultural heritage and local flavours in one of the most distinctive inland villages of the island.
