What does the experience include?
Glass Bottom Snorkelling is the simplest form of this sport, as it doesn’t require the conventional tube or goggles to explore the seabed. In fact, you don’t even need to put your head under the water. This is enabled by a floating raft with a large built-in screen, making it easier to see underwater.
What you need to know
Costa Teguise’s Playa del Jablillo is the perfect place to practice this form of traditional snorkelling. It is particularly suitable thanks to the calmness of its waters, which are the result of a rocky breakwater that protects the bay. Lanzarote, meanwhile, is one of the favourite destinations amongst diving lovers, due to the wealth of marine life and the fantastic year-round temperatures.
If you want to explore the clear waters of the island of volcanos, you’re bound to love this type of snorkelling. From the comfort of a floating raft, you’ll be able to observe the seabed as you breath normally through your nose and mouth, without needing to put your head under the water.
This activity is so simple, in fact, that it’s suitable for anyone aged 3 years and above. This makes Glass Bottom Snorkelling the perfect plan for your whole family, with the little ones guaranteed to have an amazing time looking at the huge variety of fish as they swim just centimetres beneath their raft.
